Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I want that to be clear. My take however is that Assassins Creed doesn't really need saving. I don't think that the previous games were bad or gave Ubisoft a financial crisis or anything. I would agree however that Assassins Creed isn't what it used to be; in game or succes-wise. They are doing a good job so far in creating mysticism and story, but in the end, the AC we all knew (parkouring across cities) has changed. I also think this game will make AC a bit more relevant again. I disliked Odessey a lot, but Origins was good in my opinion. Can't wait to play this one!!!

This isn't really historical but a great story if any of you are interested in Norse lore or History you should look up Dr. Jackson Crawford Also read the poetic Eddas and I also recommend The Words of Odin by Robin Artisson

Just so anyone knows, this isn’t very historically accurate. The podcast is incredibly Viking sympathetic and isn’t really an attempt to present the facts. However it’s good listening and it sets the stage for the game really well.

Viking history is not really seen as “accurate”. Most historical accounts are told by the English which makes it open to a lot of bias. So this isn’t accurate nor inaccurate.

While yes, there are some inaccuracies.. for example how women had no say in politics, (women could be Jarl's and the wife of a Jarl had quite a lot of say), but "Viking sympathetic"? Far from it. What they do however, is share a far more accurate vision of the vikings than the Christian monks ever did. (Or Hollywood for that matter... or shows like Vikings and The Last Kingdom)

So much wrong in this podcast. Cant you guys research like factual and new sources about the Scandinavians. First and foremost they those who where warriors during viking age was pretty much from a warrior society before. Vendel period for example has a lot to show of warrior culture. Before Vendel age they theres a lot of evidence of Scandinavians serving in the Roman empire. And they didnt leave their land cause of the soil. They left cause of loot and expansion.

The first games used limited fantasies yet You guys gave us the best games. Too much mythology breaks reality immersion. Also have to note this, Why are you giving us the multiple dialogues choice? obviously these games are not "ASSASSINS CREED" but i am happy that the stealth feature and the hidden blade have returned they are one of the main parts of "Assassins creed" am happy there is a part of the real assassins creed hopefully by time at least half of these games return to the previous assassins creed but these games are really really good games but cant be called "Assassins creed"

The day Cyberpunk was delayed I went ahead and pre ordered this I figure it should at least be fun for a month if nothing else. why does they made less collectibles from Valhalla? anyone know the reason? before valhalla, they made all the time one female and one male character figure plus a bigger one for collectors edition, but now they made to the collectors edition "just a single" but awesome female statue, it's a very nice one, but if i see right they made much limited number of pieces from it, and they released it in less country :/ sadly i cannot buy it because of this... i know there is a hidden blade figure too, but they made a few versions from it before, so I'm disappointed after this...

it annoys me that they want to tell the "truth" about the vikings nor sweden or denmark is even mentoined in this game. Denmark was by far the biggest and baddest clan of the vikings, sweden in second and norway at last.. Norway has been giving so much credit about vikings in the pop culture, cause of their glorious mountains and what not.. Truth is Norway didnt really have that many vikings at all, and those "vikings" there were, they were explores founders of iceland, greenland and (maybe~vinland). they werent fighters, they were traders.. and when you make a viking game about the conquest of England how are you not gonna make it about Denmark.
