Classic Zelda is probably gonna become the next Earthbound/Wario Land where we just have to rely on charming indie games to fill the void.
@Woaley52 минут бұрын
Mina the Hollower by Yacht Club games might fill that void a bit, but yeah rip classic Zelda

The lack of progression thing is a big non issue for me I’ve enjoyed Totk EoW as much as any other traditional Zelda game. Metroid does scratch that itch for progressive item unlock gameplay anyway My big issue with EoW is the scrolling of echoes takes way too long. But honestly I felt like EoW did a lot to feel traditional with heart pieces, dungeons and unlocking echoes as you explore. I saw some disingenuous criticism that Zelda team put no efforts in making EoW more traditional when it absolutely did. As for “EoW is the last straw” I don’t think that threat will scare Zelda team lmao I don’t think Zelda is ever going completely traditional again but they can take steps to please more people… although most Zelda fans can never be happy from what I’ve seen

Yeah I agree they did take some steps in the right direction. Unfortunately do to the very nature of the Echoes, these classic dungeons are still held back imo. Still enjoyed the game, I look forward to see what Nintendo will cook up.

i did really like eow for its freshness (and not being angry at the story for once after botw/totk) but all your concerns and critiques are totally valid. i hope they mix it up some more. maybe the next 2D title will be great! who knows! i agree it'll be a while though aonuma is a deku scrub :)

HAHA YOU'RE THE FIRST TO MAKE IT TO THE END. Thanks for watching the video I really appreciate it, and yeah it was nice getting something fresh like this. I rip it apart because I care, I def had a good time playing it overall. Have a great day :D

I miss feeling like I've earned something in Zelda. Having benchmarks for my progress. Yes there are towers and devine beasts in BOTW, but they don't mean much when thre aren't puzzles that require me to have the champion abilities. Same with Echoes of Wisdom. Aonuma is a Deku Scrub.
@Woaley47 минут бұрын
YOU'RE THE GOAT, thanks for making it to the end. I don't need as many items as previous Zelda's, but how cool would it have been to have like a hookshot instead of Revali's gale or smtn along those lines. It only got worse in TotK with the absolutely useless shitty champion abilities (except Tulin I guess).

Yeah Echoes of Wisdom was fine, idk when I started playing it I was really excited but there was just something off about it when as I continued it that put me off a bit.
@WoaleyКүн бұрын
Yeah the echoes just don't really work after the first 10 hours imo, like the system never really evolved for me

Aonuma is a Deku Scrub. Farewell Zelda, I'll always remember the good times. But I can't accept the new direction. (Also I'll just say that I don't like what they did with the villain. Injecting Null into the established lore feels really sloppily implemented and shoehorned, not nearly as smooth and coherent as what they did with Demise. It sorta messes with what came before, because now you can't look at the Ocarina of Time cutscene the same way anymore, and I think it takes away from the story of that game. I'm not a fan personally.)

THANK YOUUU for making it to the end of the video, you're a real one. We're just gonna have to learn to love Modern Zelda, sigh. I agree they just kinda haphazardly injected Null into the canon but what do you expect these guys hate making interesting stories and have explicitly stated they don't give af about the Zelda timeline. It's really sad because the worldbuilding of Zelda is so amazing and creative it's begging for a rich story. Oh well ;(

Bought Echoes on release day but honestly I couldn’t even get to the halfway point I just completely lost interest in the game around the 3rd dungeon… bored me to death. The game isn’t hard and there aren’t many rewards to find as you play along. The story isn’t interesting or impactful in any way, I couldn’t name a single character, idk. I’m definitely looking forward to the next Switch but I honestly have very low expectations for Nintendo games moving forward. I haven’t enjoyed any release from Nintendo since Animal Crossing in 2020. TotK was such a letdown for me, they completely focused on the wrong things during development.
@Woaley13 сағат бұрын
Yeah it's kinda this trend with Nintendo recently where they're doing what THEY want. Like with TotK, I'm pretty sure the main criticism everywhere about BotW was THE DUNGEONS SUCK and Nintendo just... did the same thing again. I still like their games and will continue to cover them, but yeah they're lacking recently, just focusing on the wrong shit.

So Nintendo pls give us a 3D Zelda in the old style Thank You
@WoaleyКүн бұрын
We can only pray. My ideal game is BotW gameplay with items and dungeons. That would be a masterpiece

You’re right I love this video❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
@WoaleyКүн бұрын
HAHA thank you man, I'm glad it lived up to your expectations. This will be the last time I rant about Zelda for a while. Next time I make a Zelda video it'll be an artistic Wind Waker video most likely.
@WillyAfton1935Күн бұрын
@ artistic, right? OHHH DUDE are you like doing a case study on wind Wakerwaker’s style? And how It aged very well?
@WoaleyКүн бұрын
It's art style will def be a big part of the video, it'll be a longer one, maybe like 20 minutes. It's my fav Zelda game, I wanna do it justice
