Brother got his shit rocked for a canned project; I think THAT is what bothers me the most. Sure, AI voice work is sketch, but nothing a patch and a simple apology couldn't solve. The rest of the mess is just bollocks in my eyes, pure and simple. Especially with Kane pouring more gas on the flames, the little weasel. No shade on the content creators either, what with them having to walk on eggshells all the time, took the safest route by being respectful to Scotty boy's request. I honestly feel like Kane's initial shot as LostPaw was spiteful jealousy rather than any real concern about the game, and that just so happened to spiral into a rabbit hole of controversy. If FNaF Plus was cancelled, then this isn't just a "free version", especially when he himself said it's nothing like it. Well actually, the only "bad" thing he did was the ai voice. Technically his final product released was "fnaf plus restored", not "fnaf plus". Also its pretty egotistical to call out someone for "not making the real thing", when "the real thing" was never fking made lmao. His fnaf plus is pretty much the real one. Also the bs replies of "im not gonna tell you the differences between this and "real" fnaf plus." Im guessing thats because there would've been barely any actual differences, because making so much features is probably why it got scrapped when it got too hard. Considering FNAF+ will literally never be released, calling this an inferior product is hardly fair - I'd call a decent, fully playable game a far superior product than one that didn't even make it to public alpha. It seems like most of the drama was perceived disrespect towards Phil, that someone would dare to pick up the pieces and put something together from it... Having said that, AI-ing Scott's voice in was a step too far - do I think that warranted all of LostPawPlay's effort in re-creating FNAF+ being poofed out of existence? No, but he should've known better what backlash that would've garnered, especially when he was already accepting donations for the game.

I can see some of the reason for the hate, but i'm also just gonna say. Kane should by default be considered a liar about 'what fnaf plus was going to be'. There's a reason the internet says "pics or it didn't happen". You can claim the guy making fnaf+ was going to make a game so amazing you developed the body of an adonis and should shoot hotdogs out of your eyes. This remake was the most scared I've ever been when it comes to a FNAF game, only even come close to by Pizza Sim. It is pretty immoral due to the AI voice and how Lost Paws didn't originally create FNAF+, didn't even credit Phisnom, and promoting it as the actual game was a mistake, but I'm very glad it exists because it's possibly my favorite FNAF game from a scare level. It's also all I have to cope, considering we will likely NEVER get what Phisnom was actually making. It's also why I'm not at all bothered about it being free despite how FNAF+ would've been a paid product. I do not believe it is in any universe immoral to create or try to recreate a cancelled game that we would never get otherwise. "FNAF+ was going to be a paid product" rings hollow to me because it was, not is. It no longer exist, unless some team is working in secret to release it on FNAF's 10 Year Anniversary, which I admit, would be pretty kick ass. Sure, we don't know for a fact that isn't what's happening, but I just find that highly unlikely. (I am intentionally ignoring the original FNAF, since he mentioned future versions requiring FNAF on steam. Future versions which, unfortunately, may never exist.) Even though he says he probably won't make more versions, I do hope he changes his mind, and that those versions aren't nearly as controvercial because there's really nothing else FNAF related that I can say I've been genuinely excited for and interested in since Sister Location. Not that FNAF has outright died for me, but I've only been half interested at best for anything surrounding the series.

Personally if there was ever anyone in this controversy I'd give the stink eye to, it'd be Kane, not PawPlay. Kane didn't live up to his promise, so how can he say that his work was going to be better? Like people always say, "you miss 100% of the shots you don't take." Kane didn't finish shooting his shot, and he's bitter that someone else came in and took the shot when he decided to step away. That's like a child telling another kid not to play with a toy, even though the first kid isn't playing with it either. He doesn't get to claim the territory of 'FNAF remake', no one does.

All in all, it doesn't sound like too bad of a game. Just not what was being promised. A lot of its mechanics feel very borrowed from other games. The ghost searching mechanic is a lot like Return to Bloody Nights. The Custom Night animations seem very similar to things like Tyke and Sons Lumber (who I think did that first?), and the Golden Freddy in the Kitchen bit has been done to death with many animations, fan games, and Gmod maps. It feels heavily borrowed, but I'd totally play it if given the chance.

I've never understood the controversy, especially those who were "concerned" on behalf of Scott and Scott himself. Cawthan's "Fanverse initiative" killed off a lot of games, and it killed one of its own biggest projects. The only thing of relevant concern is the fact that its technically a rip of Phisnom's game. However, depending on if he was actually ripped from his game by the Fanverse, or if he simply dropped the motivation ball (more than likely with Phisnom), the real impact of this fact is debatable. The ending fact is that someone was passionate enough to revive a project that other people seriously dropped the ball on, and instead of defending people who cannot finish their work, we should applaud those who work to bring something real to the fans. I frankly don't care if Scott's voice was AI replicated, could just have easily gotten a sound a like VA and edited it to sound similar. I don't care of it didn't have Phisnom's planned features, he never released that game. I am just thankful that someone cared enough to put a good looking Plus together at all, in the end.

After Phisnom got cancelled, I was jut like, Fnaf Plus is dead, and so is about half of the fanverse. ONAF3 is the only game in the fanverse that's out so far, and the dev of that game got cancelled for valid reason. FNAC4 and Popgoes Evergreen aren't out yet, and FNAF Plus is dead. I'm honestly just glad Emil and Kane haven't had anything terrible happen on this level, excluding the situation with the pear and JRs.

I feel like LostPawPlay didn't have any bad intentions, and that this was just the result of him being socially unaware of how serious the controversy was.
