Pirating games usually doesn't make it show up as "spacewar" since that's usually exclusively used for games with multiplayer, cracks don't show up on steam at all. Spacewar's purpose is to test out how games communicate with steam for multiplayer capabilities before the game gets released, Which is then used as a "proxy" for pirated games to use the steam overlay to fix multiplayer on pirated copies.

Alright, so I've just spent an hour investigating this and let me explain: My source for that segment comes from PirateSoftware's short called "Steam Piracy". You can see the section was nearly word for word for his explanation as I wanted to get it right. What I explained in the video is one of Spacewar's uses as it gets around Steam's DRM meaning it IS commonly used for pirated games, but mostly for multiplayer. But, it's most commonly used in the way you explained. LEGO FNAF wouldn't need to bypass the DRM as it doesn't need to connect to the steam servers aside from... checking if the user has FNAF installed. Which is probably why I got this wrong in the video. Games like FNAF Deluxe prompt you to locate your FNAF exe from your files. LEGO FNAF never checked this, it opened without any verifications. So I just went back with steam closed, reinstalled LEGO FNAF and opened the game and... "checking for steam api". Well, damn. Honestly, I can't even blame myself for getting that wrong. That's such an incredibly specific use of Spacewar that I couldn't actually find anyone talking about with 30 minutes of research on google. I learn something from every video and I've definitely learned from this one that I need to fact check my research more cause I'm really kicking myself for getting that wrong. I'm a KZbinr and not a gamedev for a reason lmao Thanks for correcting me so other people know too, I really appreciate that.

completely wrong on the whole spacewar thing. Spacewar is a way to test multiplayer capabilities for steam games, which means only multiplayer cracks will make you play it on steam. The reason lego fnaf shows you playing spacewar is to check if you own a copy of the original fnaf game, because otherwise scott wouldn't allow them to distribute it.

i think fnaf coop was done dirty. not beating 4/20 makes sense (playing with 3+ people means more power drainage even when you individually have less) but its also a.. skill issue when you think of fnaf coop, you think of roblox. some of the most popular games on roblox have weird and choppy graphics, but coop looks absolutely amazing. i will say that yes, the custom minigames suck BAD. probably not S or A tier just because of those. some of the mechanics are really weird, like the bear trap and taser. other than that? the game is really nice, especially for the engine it was made with. coop also has custom music (i think) in the game menus. not only that, but the new roles make the game so much more interesting. most of them are just for items you get at the beginning of the night, but the janitor role specifically is really good. it utilizes the free roam mechanic and makes you do tasks all around the pizzeria in return for extra money at the end of the night (for both you and your pals). if you play roblox please check it out! it doesnt deserve S or A tier, but i think C tier wouldve been more fitting (as echo mentioned in the video.) that being said it is absolutely dogwater compared to some of the better ones in this tier list, although still good TLDR fnaf coop was done kinda dirty in this video. sorry for writing a whole paragraph LMAO im bored

I believe the reason Golden Freddy looks like a ShowBiz Animatronic is actually also tied into the Chuck E Cheese animatronic design. ShowBiz bought out Chuck E Cheese and then rebranded themselves to Chuck E Cheese. I think you can see where this is going. The REB (Rockafire Explosion Band) was refitted to be the MBB (Chuck E. Cheese & Munch's Make Believe Band). In doing so, they stripped the animatronics and put MBB costumes on them in place of the previous REB costumes. Now, we know that in the FNAF Universe, something like this had happened, Fazbear Incorporated and Afton Robotics. If I remember correctly, FNAF 1 is after (now I could be wrong, but I’m citing what I remember) Henry Emily had stepped away due to Charlotte having died. William swooped in and bought Fazbear Incorporated. Now, William is the one who came up with the idea of the mascots themselves, and Henry was kinda there to run the business. With how William was, he likely kept both of the original springlock suits, not to mention the fact that Henry had phased the springlock system out entirely, so there was no reason to put the springlock suits back on stage. That’s why Golden Freddy looks that way.

The thing that annoys me is that when people see fnaf animatronics designed to be from the 70s and 80s era, they always say they were based off of Chuck E Cheese. It's not Chuck E Cheese. It's based off of Showbiz Pizza. Showbiz was way better than Cheese. Showbiz came before Cheese and went bankrupt because people thought Cheese was better. Ok but where is Creepy Nights At Freddy's? It's a great Free-Roam Remake of FNaF 1 that greatly adapts the mechanics of FNaF 1 in Free-Roam and just has phenomenal graphics. It also has a great custom night, an endless survival mode where you can find fuel canisters to refill your power and the animatronic's night where you play the animatronics. As if that wans't enough, it also has tons of easter eggs like Sparky being an actual character you can unlock, and Endo-01 becoming active when you try to hide under his desk. It really deserved a mention here and it absolutely would have been in A or S tier.
