My father spent his life searching for what he called THE truth, hopping from one evalangical church to another and was even a preacher at one point. I left home at 17 to get away from it all. I have comfort in the thought that some cages are lovely homes for some birds. They are fed, and kept safe, and are comforted in that cage. I left the cage because it was not where I found God anymore. I think God and Spirit and Higher Consciousness communes with people where they are. I was raised one of Jehovah's Witnesses and left that religion when I was 29. I no longer have anger or need to tell people to free themselves from religion. I see religions as places where some people meet and fall in love with Higher Consciousness. I have returned to God in a new way, but I first was in love with Higher Consciousness within the religion of my youth. I have a lot of peace with my journey now, understanding that I do not have to worry about the hearts or journeys of others. I practice faith, love, compassion, forgiveness, and pursue wisdom and I believe that is the way Jesus lived and that is Christ Consciousness.

Teachers from antiquity nested the lessons in different words, but they teach the same thing when turning the lessons inward. Buddha - Seek Emptiness. Jesus - Blessed are the poor in spirit. Buddha - Karma, cause and effect. Jesus - The measure you mete unto others will be likewise meted to you. Etc. We just have to read them without attachment.

No it doesn't. Eckhart Tolles teachings directly contradict Jesus teachings and the fact that he died for us, for our sins. So please question everything he says and ask yourself who is more trustworthy. Eckhart Tolle or Jesus. You can't have both.

The 'personality' described by Eckhart is what we call the 'nafs' in Sufism, usually translated as 'self'or 'ego'. The essence (dhaat) is emphasised more because it is closer to the reality. That is the Kingdom of Heaven.

The great "I am" to recognize existence in less the a nanosecond, the now which is so fluid. The epiphany you see in the faces of youth when you tell them that we can only live within less than a nanosecond. Giving that as a measurement of being alive gives some frame of reference/recognition.

18:35 "One can only give something like a poetic image of God..." The image that would transcend all images would be if God himself put on flesh, and showed us himself what life would look like in a human life perfectly surrendered to him. That is Jesus, the Word become flesh, God with us, the image of the invisible God. We can know what God is like and what he wants because he has revealed it to us, and expressed it to us in terms we can grasp, that is in a human life lived out in the world we all live in.

I personally agree love is the nature of all that is natural,, to me personally God, the Universe, nature, life and love are all one and the same thing. When we look at all that is wrong and unhappy in the world the hand of unconscious humans is never far away, yet when we look at all that is wonderful it's free of any egoistic human activity, we humans have worked hand in hand with nature to find medicines, yet we have also worked against nature produce man made climate change, famine and extinctions on mass 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Thankyou Eckhart, understanding the concepts of personality vs essence is such a clear way to distinguish between the ego and our being. Although I feel big or small personalities don't necessarily corelate with eastern or western origins ....its just an outward expression (quiet or loud) of how layered a human being is. The challenge is to pierce through those layers and see someone in their pure essence _ which is exactly the same for all. Funny .......allll that effort just to discover you in another.

And I fully agree, Eckhart: you do God's will when you remain in the now. Even as a child I often wondered: "What does God want from me?" I was in anguish very often, because of that question. And living in the present has saved me.
