Thank you for your description on stillness / spacious mental state experience during meditation Isn’t it observed through Vinyana Did u suggest to look for the changing nature of this emptiness too. I could not quite follow how to go to 2nd layer of this stillness

Yes. Most of the time, meditators observe Emptiness through vinyana, i.e., a concept of Emptiness. To experience Emptiness, you need to shift from vinyana to pure awareness. That happens if you do nothing. This is the meaning of Ogah-tharana ( ref:Ogah Tharana Sutta) by not going forward or staying in one place. I think the following discussion may help you (time stamp 39:20). kzbin.info/www/bejne/n33Ci5yYl753p6s

I can see the merits of your explanation. I will also go through suggested discussion in KZbin. The difficulty is how am I to know, whether mind is deceiving with a concept, or in the real awareness, the Universal consciousness, Eckhart talks of. Only positive indication I observe is the lightness in the mind, feeling of peace and joy, after being with emptiness, in sitting or walking postures. I wish I could talk to you over the phone to clarify your description further. Appreciate your genuine desire to help
