It isn't just painful. I think its downright incompetent considering that third party creators are pumping out shaders like it's nothing. You're telling me some dude in his basement can create multiple shader packs before minecraft devs themselves actually add the ability to perfectly CAPABLE consoles? I always feel like mojang gives a big middle finger to bedrock, and pampers java. I mean, look at the hoops you had to jump through just to install shaders. I mean, Jesus christ!

The difference being that the community actually gets to work on mods and add-ons that the devs don't need to allocate any time or effort towards. The main focus of bedrock is to appease console players with major updates that add no quality of life to the game. Essentially a demographic of mostly children that just want a new mob and new color block as opposed to the Java side which is full of people learning to code or with the technical know how to add that quality of life to the game

For people who are struggling to get the poggy's pack working on Xbox, you need to extract it when you copy it to your resource packs folder and open to the json file to change the available version from 1.20.60 to 1.20.51 and it will work on the full release and it will work when you copy that world with pack available to preview

I checked manifest.json Then seen a min game version that seems to match version numbers 1.20.60. In there it shows “min_engine_version”: [ 1, 20, 60 ]

for all people who are trying to do this in march and so forth your gonna have to create the file for Minecraft manually and the pathways until you make the main packs you install everything too just find a video for it, ALSO if your Minecraft says installation stopped YOU MUST BE A XBOX INSIDER find a video OK that as well until Microsoft fixes the installation stopped you must apply for preview update DELTA this will only show if you've been an insider for a month or week I think and you must be level 2

So there’s another way of getting shaders on Xbox. If you own a realm and you have a secondary device, non-Xbox Download the texture pack on that other device, add it to the realm with whatever world go on the Xbox, download a copy of the realm with that texture pack. Wait for it to sync to preview and boom that’s how I got it to work

@@BeaterOfWives well if you go to the Xbox Minecraft and create a new world (or download a world from a personal realm server) load the world for a second or two then hop onto Xbox Minecraft preview and on Xbox at least it has a button to sync worlds from Minecraft(on the Xbox) But I’m not sure if it’s just a bedrock feature or not it could possibly be a console thing

I got it working on my series x, you have to manually input the folder that you paste the pack into as well as all of its contents. It isn’t too hard. After that you just follow what he says to do and it works. If it won’t let you install the Minecraft version underneath the SpongeBob add-on you must have Minecraft installed and then install the SpongeBob alternate version and then delete the other version as the SpongeBob one downloads. After this it works. If you have anymore questions I’ll happily answer, for I’ve seen just about every single roadblock there is to come across

Underground issues is not poggys fault this is a problem on the development side. They fixed a few of those issues but remember it’s in alpha release

Being relatively new to minecraft, about 4 months now, I play on bedrock pc version. Was looking to enhance the game just a tad and going through video after video I came to conclusion that bedrock is just to freaking difficult to bother with it.

Pc version is easy to do. You literally can just download the files and if it says .Mc then click it (Double) and boom it imports automatically.

I've been using my phone to host a realm world with all sorts of add ons, and if I download the world the add ons are ONLY on THAT world, so no, any add ons downloaded from someone elses world will just be put in "Cache" you should check it in your minecraft settings and storage and delete any extra stuff

Tip: im not sure which ones still work, but on xbox you can copy the download link into a "link bypasser" and it will open directly into the media file download. At least when i tried, i got a few ads you cant really click on, but i have used link bypassing I also want to mention do NOT download other mods, at least 2-3 is fine. But it can slow the game down quite a bit other than shaders. Special mods are also ok

ive known this trick for a while now. today i wanted to downloaded a new resource pack. ive done all of that step-by-step but when it comes to reinstallation ive been having issues. when im updating the version i had installed, it always stops at exactly 4KB or 16KB, no matter what i try. has anyone came across the similar issues and knows how to fix it?

Same here Edit : I managed to download it by moving minecraft onto a hard drive and then the update downloads but I’m still having trouble launching the game Edit: managed to launch it by firstly moving the SpongeBob version of mc to a hard drive Then the update downloads but only a bit at a time and then it pauses so you have to keep continuing the downloads till it completes Then it would say couldn’t Sary so I uninstalled the SpongeBob version of Mac then the game launched from the download but the recourse pack wasn’t there for me so I will try the first part again

It really stuns me to me Microsoft and mojang can keep arguably a necessarity towards Xbox players behind a paid wall and if not always put on the backburner over and over again the very players that pour not just their time or energy in to the game but their heart and devotion to it and for what to be locked behind paid walls all the time and it sickens me to the core at this point it's becoming more of a sickening joke than something to actually hope for and I'm starting to lose hope in mojang's capabilities of improving bedrock edition without being behind a paid wall (and I have been hoping for shaders for bedrock edition since it was discovered it was possible but that hope has been dying throughout the years)

I was developing a huge addon for minecraft i play on pc and xbox but prefer playing xbox when the addons got patched it completely killed my motivation to develop for the consoles im mad tho because it played So good on my series and i know alot of players who dont have pc they could enjoy an expansion on the game hopefully they get there heads out of there butts and let 3rd party content return

if you already have the microsoft.minecraft folder (which most people do), you can press "install" on the file you downloaded rather than "copy". this will automatically put stuff in the corrent folders which is helpful for downloading mods. edit: you can no longer get mods using this videos method as of 15th feb

@@ImNotRXZL it just doesnt show up for some people, you can just make the folder yourself, make sure it has the exact same name, you can see it in thr video

Did mojang add this feature to the PlayStation preview, because I did all of those steps just differently because I play PlayStation but is still led to the same place. But a couldn’t find the graphics sention to change it to PBR😢

I had at least 50 packs that worked for shaders and were 1024x for series x after some type of update or factory reset all my files and packs were deleted but since I used poggys pack and the “insane realism 1024x” on my world but disabled them for the marketplace packs they’re. Still usable only on that world so yay I guess I just. Can’t use. The 1024x pack I was only able to use it with climax shaders😔

Even worse on Playstation. You need to play on a PC or Mobile LAN world (which could break certain addons other than limiting to use 2 beds etc..) to even experience addons etc.. They should make a PC/mobile app where you can manage third party addons for all platforms. Also wish they would make a PSVR2 version since they made a PSVR one not too long ago.
