While landing i just heard "500 feet"....I expected to hear decreasing feets' altitude (100, 50, 20) like i've heard in other jet videos. Why it gives just the 500 feet altitude?

You know, that actually looks a LOT easier than flying a Cessna 182! No mags to check, no mixture or prop to worry about, probably a lot less noisy, too. I also was wondering about your accents, the little I heard them, and obviously in a European country. I see the aircraft is registered through a Trust with AGC. Not that I'm ever going to be able to afford a jet, but I guess that works out for you. But, I'm also an American citizen, so I wouldn't need to do that. Anyway, thanks for taking us along for a ride. It was great to watch you and the aircraft perform, and I really wish I could afford to own one. By the way, I like the AutoThrottles, too. The only thing I saw missing was the Synthetic Vision, which I kind of expected. Oh well. Thanks!

Well, I fly the virtual version of this plane in XPlane11 constantly. The only thing that version seems to lack are the recessed keyboards under the PFDs and avionics. I've been trying to master the Eclipse for a year and a half at least, by now. The good thing is that it's easy as can be to start up and get going. It also lands very well, but it lacks reversers and speedbrakes, so one thing I've learned is to always nail my landing speed you NEVER want to come in hot with the Eclipse. Ever. I did a flight from LAX to Klamath Falls tonight in the sim., was raining and a bit overcast as I came in to the approach, but I had a perfect ILS landing for Runway 32. My one question is: why doesn't the plane have windshield wipers? It does have the Defog switch on the front left bank of controls.

I have the free version (free by Aerobask) and have flown it a couple of times. Seemed to handle like a fighter jet, so I thought it may not be that good. I know there's a paid version (also by Aerobask) but haven't bought it yet. Is the free version still a good representation?

@@mikem.2078 I forgot Aerobask even put out a free version. I'm not a pilot and I haven't flown in a real Eclipse, but I bought the payware version a year or more ago, and it's become my go-to plane for XPlane11. It's easy to fly, easy to start up and shut down, and it's kind of idiot-proof. I think it handles just fine. The only thing is not having reversers or speedbrakes, which is a challenge. Coming in really fast is not a good idea in that plane.

@@thiscorrosion900 I just took both the Aerobask free Eclipse 550 as well as the Cirrus SF50 out for some spins the last few days. As a newbie I have to say they feel fairly the same. Yes the Eclipse seems more stable, and has a bit more fast kick to it (2 engines?). But the Cirrus has that right "map" (Garmin 1000?) as well as the popout options that Laminar built into it, so I might have to pick Cirrus for now. No reversers? I have a Thrust reverser switch programmed on my joystick and have used that several times on the Eclipse -- am I not supposed to? Also, have you programmed some "pitch trim up / down" switches on the Eclipse? I've done that with the Challenger Bombardier 300 as it also has no trim wheel, so pitch trim switches have seemed to function quite the same. I figure you already have done that, though.

@@mikem.2078 I've only used the payware Eclipse. I thought it had no reverse thrust at all, never tried to use it with that plane. The pitch is supposedly on the joystick in the plane itself, though for some reason it doesn't seem to work in my version. So yeah, just use it manually or on the throttle or whatever. I do like the Cirrus Vision, it's a fun plane, and the Garmin in that plane seems to function better than a lot of other payware Garmins for some reason. Plus it has all the SIDS/STARS procedures and all that. The only thing with that Garmin is making sure you remember to arm a (pre-loaded) approach or procedure, or it won't activate, of course.

Hey Oscar, that's a great question. I'm not sure of your familiarity with pilot licensure so let me say that there are certain jets that are single pilot certifiable, meaning that with training a single pilot can be certified to fly the aircraft. To that end a number of used jets made within the past 15 years can be found for under $3MM. As you referenced the beautiful Phenom 100, Citation Mustang, Cessna CJ1, CJ2, Cirrus SF 50, and I with adequate training the Beechcraft Premier and Lear 31 can all be had for under $3MM. Single pilot certification aside, you could probably consider a Beechcraft/Hawker 400 too.

@@MooseKicks1066 You really should use some facts when you talk aircraft. It was the original company (Eclipse Aerospace) that went into liquidation and their aircraft was the Eclipse 500. One Aviation (New Mexico) bought the rights and developed the 550 a much improved aircraft you see here which is going well.
