I really feel for Edward in this scene, he had absolutely every right to be angry at Jacob for basically assaulting his girlfriend. Kissing someone forcefully/without their consent IS assault. He wasn’t being possessive, he was protecting her just as any boyfriend would in that scenario, every boyfriend should react that way if any guy does that to his girlfriend.

I liked him in the first movie but he really pissed me off after First Moon, he kept persuading and disrespecting Bella and acting like a typical Nice Guy™️ and getting angry when he didn’t get what he wanted. Edward had his moments too, but he still respected Bella’s boundaries and was patient enough with Jacob even when the latter crossed the line because he was Bella’s friend and she didn’t want them to hurt each other.
