Damn, this sword came out beautifully! I love this twisted pattern on the blade., It's so elegant! The work on the bronze pommel was so highly detailed to do the casting! Alright but hear me out, Corvo Attano's blade with the opening and closing mechanism

That'll be playing with physics. It'll be largely impractical with those mechanisms extremely, degrading the stability significantly. It will be also pretty short than in the game. And it also is missing a tang, which makes it prone to breaking. Plus, the mechanisms will be extremely complex. Springs send their forces in only one direction. You could open and close it with motion and gravity, but even then, chances are you'll 'fall on your own sword'. Thanks for reading my scientific opinion with a pun-ishing end. I still won't mind if the sword is at least stylised, but not fully mechanised.

I don't know if you'd have any interest, or if it's even possible... But in the show Shadowhunters, Isabelle Lightwood had an electrum whip that sort of snapped into a bo staff. Is that possible for you guys to make? Like a scorpion whip that locks into place? It not, then maybe one of the seraph blades from the show? They are meant to glow, and you guys have kicked ass on glowing weapons 😊

@@ropeadopepope3609 Nope. Because of the round cross section of a twist, it doesn't really "mirror" like you think it would. If you have a piece of rope, double it up on itself and take a look at it from both sides. No matter which way you turn it, the twist in the rope will be going the same direction.

. Did you know you guys are in assassins creed valhala, there is a mini boss you can find called "man at arms" which when killed drops ingots and blacksmith tools. It can be found in "East Anglia" in the bottom right there will be a small camp called "Sutton Hoo" go there and head under ground and there you will find him

I just found a new sword that I think would be a fun challenge to make. The sword is called Canaria, and its from the kongoh bancho manga. Just made it to the end of chapter 64 where it makes an appearance. Its described as cutting, smashing and gouging, and looks totally unique. Like 5 types of swords smashed into one. I'd be incredibly curious as to how a real blade made like that would hold up

One small suggestion: it would be nice if in the end, when the finished piece is showed, you also said how much it weighs. I always wonder that watching how the blade is handled in the smash test
