Hey Eclipse! Love the videos recently. Can't agree with the take that "Traditional 2D fighters aren't popular right now" though, they're doing pretty well as of this moment! The reason why ASBR has low player counts is due to other factors like lack of rollback netcode (the game's netcode is actually just copy-pasted from the ps3 version, its actually terrible), ranked games being first to one win instead of best of three like most other traditional games, balance issues, etc. I think what you said is right when it comes to roblox jojo though, the roblox jojo community doesn't seem to be interested in playing a traditional fighter (and that's okay!) and instead would rather play a game that can play to the strengths of the roblox engine. Full 3D environments, limited hitstun, no invincible reversals or super meters, health regen, etc are unique to these jojo roblox games and that's super cool! I understand learning traditional fighting games is a bit of a time sink, but I think they're awesome as well as these cool genre-combining roblox jojo games, so please don't throw shade! 8:02 Its the taking damage aspect thats the issue not the dealing damage part. You wouldn't get rage bars nearly as often if you weren't able to get rage by taking damage. Having to earn a temporary buff is a good idea, but making it too easy to earn was an oversight.

@@scoundreleyes I mean back then when the video was made twoh was much more broken since it could 1 shot in ts and confirm a full spin combo off of one set of knives, not to mention reality overwrite had hyperarmour and scr had a confirmed one shot in conq will, both of these stands got heavily nerfed while sp got a buffed, for example star finger hits from double it's visual model (unintentional but since the hitbox update it's been bugged to hit much further then it should) and inhale actually works now compared to before when it was extremely inconsistent and now it even has a kick barrage for an easy approach option (I'm not sure if it even had one back then) so while I agree those stands are less annoying then sp currently that certainly wasn't the case back then, I genuinely think in comparison to what the actual meta was in yba a year or two ago sp was about as "balanced" middle ground as you could get which clearly isn't the case anymore

I think this might be the one time AUT takes something gameplay wise over YBA, with the world au, or in AUT the world high voltage, in AUT it was much more of a sidegrade that was noticeably dependent on gameplay style. If you preferred to keep your distance, have much more long ranged options and play safer, cool, use the world au, more knife attacks, a cutscene knife throw, less up front damage, shorter timestop, no roadroller, where as the world base had a much better close ranged basic straight forward damage, but struggled harder when fighting long range stands. Only really being able to throw 2 knife moves both of which slowed you during the animation, or waste timestop and attempt to get close enough to combo them. Much more dependent on gameplay approach then the world au just being a better option

After all the nerfs inhale got overtime dont think its busted anymore, its like a high A tier now. Before it was much longer and you couldn't block in it which makes it a guaranteed very high damaging combo and paired with stuf like spin it would do way to much damage.

Epic i'm early Anyways, I'd just like to say that new pluck ruined starplat for me, boxing is just boring to me, charging hamon is annoying because my binds become wierd for the sake of inhale, spin is fun but it's just not good, and hamon is pretty much meta now so i can't use vamp without dying in .5 milliseconds. And new pluck is either cheese or unsealed steel because everything else is practically useless, not to mention it just feels wrong to use. Also it genuinely feels like uzu is actively trying to kill yba while making the most money he can squeeze out of it. God i miss old pluck.

@@chris_ramen scarlet's actually usable now and the damage increase along with the 30% damage res actually puts it on par with boxing, albiet you need to actually use your brain to pay attention to a funky lil' bar on the side rather than just having more moves

@@joshuamaynes230 old pluck had 5 usable moves (instant slash was dookie)aerial ace was an escape tool and added mobility, pierce strike, triple pierce strike, crescent slash/thrust was a small, easy combo to get fast damage (doing a bit more than m1 jawbreaker) and it was by no means a stun sim unless the person was actively using some bs like twau/starplat/hierophant/mih pluck (yes, heirophant pluck had a goddamn infinite, god it was annoying) pluck was honestly the most fun spec until the rework but it kinda came at the cost of dying if someone breathes on you a little too hard Also it worked with every stand if you knew how to use it (considering the fact that you considered 2 moves to be useless, you probably didn't know how) some of the more fun builds were sf5 pluck, tw pluck, hp pluck (this one was a bit annoying to fight until i learned that you could dash to the side to avoid a mid-grapple pierce strike that could break your block) and kc pluck for that brief period of time where there wasn't cheese.
