Would the 2014 MKZ 2.0 L ecoboost BOV be located in the same spot since they share the same engine? I don't any thing on top of the engine that looks like this?

@mptperformance, Does it matter how the bracket is installed? I reinstalled mine like how it was on the OEM B.O.V. So the bracket is behind the my TurboSmart Kompact BOV. Your vid shows it on top of the BOV bracket. I get sound out of it but not like the sound in the video.

Check to see if they make one specifically for the edge not sure of all parts fir bc I believe it's specific to the car and all connectors not all the way sure. Same engine doesn't necessarily mean all parts and connections are the same size n specs.

Okay im feeling kind of stupid here..🙃 i have a 17' fusion SE 2.0 Ecoboost but everytime I try to find something its always 13-15'. Will this BOV work for my year ?

I have installed this 3 times and I have such a horrible jolt back when letting off the throttle and a terrible drone when coming to a stop and a slight jerk in rpms. idk what the problem is. I've tightened it until my idle was normal but still had the same problem. I took it off and put stock back on could I just got a faulty one? also have steeda cai and spacer manifold it sounds like there is metal scraping when letting off the throttle and the jolt back.

Because its a recirculating valve that's stock which works like and is similar to egr valves. Its suppose re send the air back through to avoid compressor stall which is actually an upgrade already itself un like bov or bypass valves. I believe if that any turbo valve is after air flow sensor then your engine will run richer causing shitty performance from the get go if you change stock valve. If anything I typed is true then a bov or bypass is not a upgrade for the ford fusion unless you tune or get an sac which controls the fuel to air mixture such as the iconic one from apexi. Back to topic if after mass airflow then the engine is going to add to much fuel and the bov at that point is just for glory and no guts. For an actual upgrade try a better recirculating valve and you still might have to tune. If you are not increasing psi for turbo then its a waste of time completely because you are not pushing high psi. The ford fusion 1.5 and 1.6 do not have 220 horsepower until you mod so even an exhaust over 2.5 inches is not good for performance without tune or having a lean engine ratio for fuel mixture. I plan on getting just to help for the sake of no rice is a new inter cooler, sac if possible and a throttle body spacer and a wire harness boost max tuner which doesn't remap your car computer. I have the steeda intake already so a cat back exhaust of some kind which is basically a muffler at 2.5 paired with that as well should really help you gain. If you get a port tuner you can see if your engine is going to lean or rich as well and try and save you from problems even if you don't remap. If your car gets to lean it can blow if its gets to rich you are flooding the engine so it will sag. lean is more air than fuel and rich is more fuel than air. Turbos also are like cats they are in the way of exhaust leaving the engine unless its after the intake. On the ford fusion its an exhaust back so also consider a catted down pipe and flange for the turbo. If you get a combo of these mods then you should feel a good gain. Also consider a colder rated thermostat so coolant dumps sooner if you go the down pipe route. The st is only 275 horse power to begin with so the engine may not be able to go to far without engine internal upgrades for the fusion. inline engines do turbo do turbo well. I have not seen any online but the ford fusion needs a better radiator than the stock. Its sad that ford didn't care and on old fusion like the 2014 there is a restrictor plate on the stock inter cooler that could use a delete. Hope this helps! Anybody else want to chime in then do so?

TRIM has nothing to do with if you can do it or not. Ford voffers 4 engines in this car. 2.5 N/A I4, 1.6 turbo I4, 2.0 turbo I4 and a 2.0 I4 hybrid. Newer Fusion the 1.6 was dropped for the 1.5 turbo. As long as you have a turbocharged engine they have the bov for them on steeda fusion.

Installed mine today, sounds really nice, but it only blows off when you let off the gas pedal. I thought it would blow off with every gear change like a 5 speed manual does. Kind of a let down due to this fact

If you have an air intake it’ll stop the turbo flutter which causes wear on the turbo. It also can help your shifts be smoother. It’s actually pretty helpful

Good point. Purposely avoided specifying exactly which tools I used because I kind of just grabbed what I had on hand that worked for this job, didn't want to give anyone the impression that they had to use these exact same tools. That's why we just showed a shot there of them laid out. Does that make sense?

I mean I have had a 2016 Ford Fusion 2.0 tatanium eco and when I start it up from not driving it all night first gear kicks into second I have 0 codes I’m the best maintenance guy but I do think this transmission is going out and I promise I have not ragged my fusion only my g35 sedan

If you have a fusion you must stay ahead of the maintenance with oil changes, tune ups, spark plugs, and transmission fluid service to help avoid issues imo. I also treat my fuel with Lucas fuel treatment. I'm adding better spark plugs soon, adding a steeda cai, bov, and focusing on that unit I get fmic upgrade my exhaust and tuner and strut bar before I change the rims and tires.
