A couple major advantages to smart batteries is - (1) Protect from overcharging. (2) If batteries are fully charged for too long the smart battery will slowly discharge the battery to a safe storage charge to help keep the battery healthy giving it a longer life span.

Still watching, but as usual this is a top notch product review. One thing that I think EF could improve on is adding utility to those smart batteries. The competing product from Bluetti has expansion batteries that have DC power ports. That's a significant feature when you consider the cost of these devices. If the main Delta Pro unit goes down you end up with expansion paper weights. EF has made slight gains in the customer service department, but imagine dropping $$,$$$ on the full setup and have to send the main pro unit back for a warranty service. With Bluetti you can still use 12V devices (like an inverter), USB devices, etc. Maybe they'll add ports to future smart batteries.
@1ENDUSER2 жыл бұрын
I'm guessing in the future it's just a software change & maybe a new cord for it to be able to charge it by itself. Because if you need the main unite that means there isn't an inverter in it like the Bluetti extra batteries.

Is there anyway to pull 12v before it goes to the AC inverter? IOW, is the EF unit user customizable?

Great review but one thing when it was running over 3600w it wasn't using surge as that's not what that value is used for. Thanks for all the great info!! I purchased an Ecoflow pro and a battery with 2 400 solar panels. Using two Eco pro deltas at 3.6 K and a battery what is the wattage that you can input? I heard that when using a double voltage plug, you cannot plug anything into the regular 110 outlet… You have to plug it into the double voltage plug… how does that work? With an Eco pro double voltage plug, and a battery all connected… When using solar on serial 400 panels, how does the charge work and what Eco pro do you insert it into? How does the dispersement work with this set up? If I have the same set up when I go to an EV station do I have to take all three of them and charge them?

I am concerned if the Delta Pro is ok to start and run the pellet stove. Worried that I could damage the Delta Pro on stove start up because of the amount of draw the stove produces. I am considering buying a combo Ecoflow Portable Air Conditioner and Delta Max Or Pro for my stealth minivan. I currently have Delta 1300. How long will it take to recharge fully on Delta Max? And Pro? Will Cargenerator work or cause problems when charging Max or Pro at 90AMPS?
@TechMadeEzy2 жыл бұрын
Hi not sure how long the delta will take if it was plugged into the max or the pro AC outlet it’s based on the max charging rate, what wattage do you get when you plug it into an AC outlet? That’s what you should get. The max and pro both have DC input limits when charging off a car charging, none of them can handle 90amps, pro says it can handle Support 12V/24V battery, 8A

Hi, I live in Norway, so the Delta pro in the European version doesn’t have that 30A output in the front. It has 4 230v regular wall outlet. I have a small cabin and want to hook it up when I am there. The cabin is wired with about 7 or 8 wall sockets and all the wires are going to a panel. How can I hook up the delta pro to that to juice up all those wall outlets? Thanks 😊

anyway to solar charge these things and run appliances at same time??
@Pk3_Garage2 жыл бұрын
You can charge it using solar, while using appliances. The max solar input for one DP is 1600 watts. So, if your appliances are using more than that, it will use battery power.

Question: I'm new to power stations and have been using an inverter generator when my power goes out. I would love to have this to avoid gas and the noise from the gas generator. Can I connect this to the EcoFlow to charge it while it's being used to power the house? I realize the power station would only last a couple hours by itself. Would it still take a couple hours to charge this as it would be plugged into an AC outlet?
@Pk3_Garage2 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can charge the DP with your generator. As to how long it would take to charge the DP, depends on the battery percentage and the incoming current to charge it. You can still power other things, while charging the DP. You just have to make sure you don't exceed the running watts of your generator.
@philc.92802 жыл бұрын
@@Pk3_Garage Thanks for your quick reply. My inverter generator is 2000 watts. The Echoflow is more than that. Will it still work? I really don't want to buy another generator again.
@Pk3_Garage2 жыл бұрын
The Ecoflow DP inverter is rated at 3600 running watts and up to 7200 surge watts. So, yes it has worked very well during my testing. The DP is just a power station, that stores power for later use. You can connect solar panels to it, up to 1600 watts. In a blackout situation, we will use both our generator and DP. The DP will be used as our primary power source. Our generator will be used, to recharge the DP, while suppling power to our entire house. If we need to run the AC, the generator will have to be used.

@@Pk3_Garage Hi and thanks again for your kind reply. Again I'm not an electrical engineer so you're saying it's okay to connect my 3000-watt inverter generator to this Ecoflow 3600-watt battery pack. If the pack is pretty low say 25% the generator would probably run on high to charge the pack then. Right?
@TechMadeEzy2 жыл бұрын
You can and even better use solar panels, it can handle a good amount of wattage, see the specs in the video for more info. Thanks for watching

Why are the cords so short that go from the solar panels to the units? The Pro weighs 100 lbs, to charge it up with solar I'd have to take the unit outside..100LBS, really? Is is possible to buy a compatible cord that is 25' or maybe 50'?

The current unit Costco sells should be the same as the one you can get directly from EcoFlow. When EcoFlow launched the pro on Kickstarter that unit had some additional benefits back then.

Costco no longer carries Ecoflow; they now sell Geneverse producs. Most likely because their customer's service is subpar or not to Costco standards.

Please test the 240V function using the dual voltage hub. I would like to see the maximum peak surge output capability of two units in parallel. Continuous should be 7200 watts, but peak should be higher. Also, please test the output while also charging both units. For example, can two of these units start a whole house HVAC unit? Can a gas generator recharge the units while they are supplying power to large loads, using their batteries to make up any power difference to handle surges?
@TechMadeEzy2 жыл бұрын
We did do a test the link to the double voltage hub video is on the video and the description
@browsedeweb88342 жыл бұрын
@@TechMadeEzy I'm more interested in short term surge capability at 240V and also pass through (power assist) while charging. Consider making a video to test this functionality. I bet there are many other people who have a standard portable generator who can't power larger 240V appliances due to the brief power surges caused by motor inrush currents. The Ecoflow units may be a way to bridge the gap.
