A very nice and a clean install. A full diagram of the AC disconnect and solar rapid shutdown as well as a list of all the parts you used will be very useful.

Hey, thanks for the informative video. Im curious with the rapid shutdown if you also need something to cut the power of the inverters to the Smart Home panel. I noticed an EPO port on the top of the panel that I'm thinking could be used for this but there isn't anything in the documents about it. Did you set something up to cut the inverter power like the solar panels?

It looks like you moved breakers from original panel to the smart panel 2. Did the wires reach to the breakers once in the smart panel 2? If not, how did you handle that? Thanks

Hey there, thanks for very informative video, very helpful. Does ECOFLOW Panel 2 accept slim breakers which allows to connect two lines? It seems that you’ve been using one of these (timestamp 3:30 in this clip). 12 breakers only might not be enough these days. Can you clarify please?

Love your videos as they are getting better with each video. I do have a question regarding this system, could you install two Ecoflow Smart panels 2's sub panels from the main panel and move ALL circuits from the main panel to the sub panels? I would use one smart sub panel with a single Delta Pro Ultra with all low loads and the other smart panel for all the heavy loads using two Delta Pro Ultra's. This way the entire home would be backed up instead of just 12 circuits. Just wondering if that would be possible. Thanks

Awesome video! Curious why you used an 80 amp breaker instead of 100? Also, if I separate the SPH2 bottom connection and wire it to another location, what size wire do you recommend I use between the DPU connection and the SPH2?
@SolarEngineering2 ай бұрын
main panel is only 100A, one Ecoflow can push 30A. so 80a is plenty in this case.

I'm about to buy/install the same gear and I was wondering when you moved the circuits over to the SHP2, why did you bring the white neutral wires as well? I figured since you're already bringing the neutral over from the main panel via the big 4AWG wire, that all you'd need to do was wire-nut the hots from inside the old panel and bring over the black to the breaker in the new panel. Would that not also work and save some wiring? Also, would love to see a diagram of the shutoff wires, I mostly understand from your video, but would be awesome if you had a diagram (not sure if you do). Thanks!

I believe it's NEC 300.5(I) "All conductors of the same circuit ... shall be installed in the same raceway...", so we have to move neutrals as well. I'll check later for the diagram.

Why is an AC disconnect even required. I get the RSD requirement for the PV, but this system is off grid, so I wouldn’t think it needs an AC disconnect… is it a requirement of the SHP2?

Question: you drilled into existing panel and didn’t use an existing knockout. Is that acceptable to make a new hole over the existing knockouts?

@@SolarEngineering another Question. I saw that you have AC disconnect because you have solar panel on the roof installed? My home set up is also just like you, but completely OFF Grid. 10 panels on roof, PV line to DC isolator then connect to DPU. My diagram shouldn't need a AC disconnect ??

@@bdelight5422if you are installing on the building roof, then you have to install rapid shutdown. Check NEC 690.12 Rapid Shutdown of PV Systems on Buildings. There are a few exceptions in this rule, but if panels are installed on a house roof, then by the code you have to install RSD.
