That is an interesting setup. I suggest replacing the male-male cable with a proper generator hookup and transfer switch but if it is just temporary testing it at home before deploying it then it is fine. Good luck and God bless!

The double voltage hub , which cable do you use for charging Tesla ? Beside the Tesla mobile charger 14-50 ,if you don’t mind pls send the link of your set up for Tesla charging ,thank you

I recently purchased two Delta Pro power stations with the Dual Voltage Hub. When I connected the DVH to the power stations I immediately get a rapid flashing white light, hear some relays clicking and error code 553 shows up on the power station displays. No voltage out on the DVH. I've been working with Ecoflow support for a couple of weeks now and they still haven't even been able to tell me what error code 553 means. VERY frustrating.

So It can run your a/c system? Lots of conflicting information out there. I bought 2 pro’s and 4 battery set-up (currently shipping) and not sure if it can handle a 4 ton a/c system.
@kingvally2 жыл бұрын
Yes it did and still does...depending on how old your AC is, you might need to install a soft start device on your AC to reduce the inruch draw.

Can you test the short term peak output of two Delta Pro units providing 240V? I want to know if this setup will start my 4-ton whole house air conditioner. Thanks!
@kingvally2 жыл бұрын
Good morning 🙏 Actually that's the next video. My intent is to show that this solution can be used as a fully house backup to include AC. I think my unit is 4 ton or 5 ton and have been able to run the entire house . The only caveat is when Tesla installed my Solar system they also installed a soft start module on my AC unit to reduce inrush. I probably will have that video posted on Sunday God willing or early Monday. God Bless you and yours!

@@kingvally That's great! I also have an EasyStart 368 soft starter on my condensing unit. Inrush current came down to 55A from about 120A. When it's running, it draws only about 17A. My Honda EU7000is generator can't start it, but if the Ecoflow units can handle a very short inrush, then I could use them to power the house and use the Honda to charge the Ecoflow units during a prolonged outage. A single Delta Pro can surge to 7200 watts, so you would think 2 of them would be able to handle twice that for a second or two.
@kingvally2 жыл бұрын
Correct the surge does double on each leg. We don't even see a flicker during the cycling of the AC or microwave etc...

With that setup I can honesly say you can be independent from the grid.

avoid shadow on your panels. it decreases more than just the shadow area on the panel.

Only on panels wired in series.

BEWARE of Delta Pro! Before investing in Delta Pro units, do your research of what you need powered. Your electric company has records of your monthly electric consumption. This is where you begin. That said, if you buy a Delta Pro, and you need to power LARGE outputs (dryer, a/c, recharging your EV, sump pumps), then you will need 2 Delta Pro units and get the 240 volt hub. But if you use the 240 hub connecting 2 units, you CANNOT use the outlets on the front if the Delta Pro units. Those outlets are only usable when the 240 hub is NOT CONNECTED. The next issue is charging up the Delta Pro units. You must either recharge from the GRID, or thru solar panels, or thru the Delta Pro Smart Generator. The catch is to charge with the Smart Generator, you MUST spend more money to get the ADAPTER to plug the generator into 1 of the 2 extra battery ports on the rear of the Delta Pro unit. If you have 2 units, then you will must get 2 adapters; one for each unit. AND you must also spend more money to buy another Smart Generator; 1 for each Delta Pro. Bottom line, you must have a way to recharge the Delta Pros. Solar is good for small power use. But if you need 240 power, use the 240 hub, then solar will be a problem. Solar is inefficient when its cloudy, raining, and nothing at night. So the Generator becomes your safety net more often than you want. On the Smart Generator, get the DUAL FUEL unit that runs on either Propane or gas. Propane is CLEANER and you will have little to no maintenance versus using gas. And propane is cheaper and found everywhere. You will be surprised how long the propane lasts running the generators. In my case, I went “green” and went off City Power. My monthly electric bill went from $175/month to about $75/ month in propane. It is even cheaper if you buy the large 100 lb tanks rather than the 20 lb tanks.
