You make removal of the airbox look very easy! It's a real battle... but thanks for your video. I don't have super long pliers to remove that pipe clip, and I don't fancy my chances getting it back on. I'd take it to a MB dealer, but that will cost a fortune. I'm still recovering from having the camchain replaced by the MB dealer.

Comes out just by removing it alone. Dont have to remove the rest of the things. Thanks for the diagnostic tutorial.

@@coss7641there is no way to do it without removing the airbox, maf sensor has 3 screws that hold it, third one is impossible to reached out without removing the airbox. I have the same problem and I tried to do it by my self so I can tell you for sure.

Fantastic! I just watched it a 2nd time while doing it! Very helpful; in fact, I wouldn't have figured out how to remove the btm 1/2 of airbox. Also Very good idea about the wire on the clamp! Thanks again.

The rear ecu connector is full of oil this cars ecu is on borrowed time if the front cam sensors arent replaced and fitted with the oil blocker harness and the harness flushed of oil. This is most likely also why the maf failed the maf plug will also be full of oil. I would pull the ecu and open it and flush the oil from that too with isopropyl before it fails.
@GfrigoP10 ай бұрын
My friend, I saw a bright on the cable harness. For a little I left it there. When I read you comment I return to the ECU and there where a lot of oil! Thank you Man!

Question. Where on the M271 supercharger can you find the Turbo Boost Control Position Sensor? Watching from the Philippines.
@ДимитърАндонов-ъ7е6 ай бұрын
It's inside the supercharger housing

Hello, the sensor from the airbox, it gets connected to something? the little one in front, do i need to put a vacuum line in him?

Waar bly jy? My 180 2006 Kompressortjie het ernstige aandag nodig. 😁 Watse filter, is in die cover wat oor die battary is? Tante weet niks van karre af nie. 🙈 Dit was altyd my man en seun se probleem. My man is oorlede die 1ste Januarie en my seun is amper 'n duisend km vêr.

Before vs after replacing with new MAF what are readings for rpm vs intake pressure vs air flow vs exhaust O2 sensor reading vs air flow?. Idling at 750rpm, my MAF is at 5.3 to 5.4g/seconds = 4litres of air flow second. Air intake pressure at nearly -7.5psig. Voltage from O2 sensor at 0.60 to 0.72. Throttle valve opening normally 17.2%. Air flow of 4.5litre per second vs cylinders total displacement of 11.75 litres per second = ratio of 0.4 : 1 which should, in theory and excluding injected fuel, of nearly -10 psig when piston is at DBC. This is would be indirect indication of no vacuum leak at connections for hoses etc etc. Regards.

hello, i couldn’t install the maf hose with the metal clamp back on so i ziptied it very tight, will this be okay?
@9LevelzAbove7 ай бұрын
You should tell us? It’s been a month. Im not sure it would hold because the force could possibly make it come off. Might be worth just buying a flexible hose pliers (£15) and putting the hose clamp On, the fact that it’s that tight to get on might be why it’s needed.

hello! I am writing to you through a translator. I have a Mercedes w 203. motor m 271 petrol. automatic transmission, engine size 0.2. fuel consumption is huge, when driving, the tachometer does not drop to 1000 rpm, the tachometer remains somewhere around 1500-2000 rpm. Diagnostics did not find the cause, can you advise what to do?
@dougferguson2563 Жыл бұрын
I would recommend anyone that has the m271 engine to get a catch can. Poor design allows for oil to get inside the intake /all the way to the throttle body.
@GfrigoP10 ай бұрын
And where do I install it?
@ДимитърАндонов-ъ7е6 ай бұрын
@@GfrigoP good place would be to install it after the valve cover, there is a hose that attaches into the air filter box, there always is oil residue

That round clip that he took off of the pipe you can get similar clips just as jubilee clips and they loosen and tighten where the treads of a bolt attach on to the clamp and when you turn the boat one way it will loosen and and the same in the I think and these jubilee clips for simple fact of you can reuse many many times all you have to do is managed to get your screwdriver into the slit and turn i depending on whether you turn left or right will determined if the clamp will tighten or loosen, I really wish that more verbal information had been given with this to let me know how to fix and there are not that many videos relating to from my experience with my Volvo I had last year it went into limp mode but instead of having a lack of our when I was driving and turned off the engine and turned it back on real quick I would get crazy boost from the turbo and when I start my it is very quiet and very smooth does not splitter at all but I am nearly convinced that when I drove finest open down my I possibly caused a problem with my mass air flow I do not know if it's the mass air flow within the Volvo I had it was a very 2006 Volvo diesel Volvo and a video I watched where a guy who is a bit of a genius with computers in when he puts in his diagnostic computer he reckoned that to stop my Volvo at the time I needed to replace an the solenoid just beside their wastegate
