@Bdjjddjdjdj He raised the deficit by 4T, before the pandemic. If those tax cits are reinstated, how much more will be added to the debt? I get if you're heavily invested in the stock market ( 100k+) you're salivating at the stock market gains. But, since that's only 5-10% of the US population at best, the average person won't see much of a positive impact. If he goes along with the tariffs and deportation, however, the average person will have their expenses increase. And since I don't believe in "trickle down economics", as the person said, things melt up, that means 90% of the public will be hit with even more economic pain.

The history regarding precious metals falling during general financial collapse isn't consistent. They certainly did during the 2008 collapse for a relatively short time before shooting higher however, if I recall correctly, that wasn't always the case during the 1970s. At this point I for one am just going to maintain precious metals exposure going forward rather than trying to guess which path they follow short term during this financial collapse. Human nature doesn't change, fundamentally, hence in due course precious metals will serve the same role they always have during general financial calamities; and I suspect this collapse will be both global and on par with the worst in history, perhaps even unprecedented.

Thank you for your videos... The US economy faces ongoing challenges with high inflation and tightening credit, and though a full recession is uncertain, the risk is palpable. Rate cuts, while aimed at spurring growth, come with inflationary risks, and banks are restricting consumer and corporate lending, potentially leading to deflation in asset prices. Stock markets are volatile, layoffs are increasing, and a rising unemployment rate could signal a more entrenched economic slowdown. Retail and housing sales are expected to decline further as consumer spending cools. Though certain assets like stocks and cryptocurrencies may act as hedges, they remain vulnerable to market swings, making cautious, diversified strategies essential. Through a combination of long- and short-term trading, I’ve grown my portfolio from 130k to 532k, thanks in large part to the expertise of Milton Harper, whose deep market insights have been invaluable in navigating these unpredictable financial times...

Government is mostly about distributing spoils. The actual things government does that we call government services are viewed by government as distractions from it's true purpose of distributing spoils. The problem with thinking of government as a business is that there is no profit motive to ground government as it does a business. However, you can attack the spoils system by shrinking the governments intrusion into economic life. Thats probably what is meant by running the government like a business. Some metrics and incentives will have to be introduced /invented to replace the function of the profit motive. Nothing is easy.
@mtrest4Ай бұрын
@danfarrand9072 The corporatocracy seems to have got its tentacles into the "spoils" corrupting govt and having it distributed to them. Politicians meanwhile distribute it to get themselves reelected. Also they rack up debt. It has to be run as a business if it is trying to play in the market. Otherwise, it should not be playing in the market nor taking the earnings and savings from the people to do so.

I've been waiting for another David interview because I really watched his predictions actually come true. His predictions were extravagant but true, the next bear and bull runs will be interesting. I think the silver prediction is off but David's smarter than me, Thanks Jay

If Trump advertised cutting military expenditure by half, I'd take the idea of him wanting to limit government spending seriously. As it stands, nothing is indicating such a development, especially not since he's been nominating one Israel warhawk after another and vowed to enforce the dollar's continued worldwide usage.
@faithsrvtrip8768Ай бұрын
1:03:38 "if you think you're smarter than Buffet then go for it." Amen. 1:05:50 Treasuries will be in demand for a return on capital. Look at how Tether is being backed, now. They are buying US Treasuries and this appears, to me, as a backdoor form of QE and is providing liquidity to BTC. Agree about gold and silver dumping.

Engineer and naval officer turned shop teacher. .... Was working at a copper tubing mill in central North Carolina when NAFTA was signed. It gutted the entire region andhas for two generations. It will take another two generations, starting with the dismantling of the Department of Ed, to remind people what their grandfathers did is something that they should aspire to: serious hard honest work that is fairly compensated. As a matter of fact, MIKE ROWE, DIRTY JOBS should be brought in at some level as an Assistant Undersecretary in the Department of Labor While I don't know how it would be formulated, it's reasonable to develop some plan in which a corporation and the CEOs on a personal level, are taxed when they're multiplier are there total compensation, past that of the "floor sweeper", exceeds a certain number. 50X seems reasonable

I have only been following David's forecast for past three years and I can tell you he is deadly accurate on the direction. Initially I was very skeptical, but I think he has a sound methodology. I am most interested in his long term forecast of commodities and hoping to capture a portion of the run.

Once the markets start to turn down with the bust, wouldn't it make sense to use an ETF to short the S&P?

No. Because you need buyers of your short position even if you turn out to be right.

I actually agree with his view about holding the US Treasury as a hedge. I have been following him since 2020 and he has been right so far for the most part. But it seems to me his singing for the Trump miracle is over the top. And his optimism about reshoring and beefing up the US defense etc are not credible at the best. Yes, he is not prone to the Fox show
@krisallydeАй бұрын
totally agree with that. UST makes a lot of sense as a hedge, and the overall narrative of a collapse makes sense too. That Trump though is seen as the savior of the US economy is somewhat funny (or sad) though. He has a poor track records as a president (debt didn't decrease, but increased significantly under his mandate) while he's famous for having bankrupted a couple of his companies. Maybe he will be remembered as having bankrupted the US, though while we are not there yet, I'm not sure how Hunter can truly think that Trump did a 180 and has become a brilliant strategist to save the economy.

The U.S. economy can actually get better if only the govt can start making better decisions for the sake of it's citizens, cos' they've really made life more difficult for its residents. Hyperinflation has left the less haves bearing the brunt of the burden. Its already eating into my entire $620k retirement portfolio. Like where else can we invest our money with less risks?

Just get a financial planner straight up! personally, I would invest in etf and also love investing in individual stocks. yes it’s riskier but I'm comfortable in my financial environment.

I agree. Exactly why I now work with one. A lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their emotions, no offense. I remember some years back, during the covid-outbreak, I needed a good boost to stay afloat, hence researched for advisors and thankfully came across one with grit. As of today, my cash reserve has yielded from $350k to nearly $1m
