The largest oil producing Nation in Africa - Nigeria is importing crude. Someone pls, make it make sense.

That is exactly how you produce oil…isn’t it smarter to get a better quality crude mix with our in house crude to diversify the oil products we produce? Plus it will take time for most crude producers in Nigeria to get to the point that they are selling industry standard crude to Dangote, until then Dangote has to supplement where necessary keeping in mind that his oil exports and imports have to be diverse for better market reach outside of Africa…. They just being hard on Dangote for no reason in my opinion.

@@skiiytastic Nigeria has been independent since 1960 and yet it was Dangote that ended up building the Largest refinery in the country NOT the Federal government. That's shameful, to allow a private citizen even tho he's wealthy take on that role. Yes, you are right. They're being hard on him. They're not providing a healthy environment for Nigerian business large and small to thrive. How long will take for Nigeria Oil companies to produce Crude oil so he no longer has to import crude oil into the "largest oil producing Nation in Africa"????.

@@felix4321ful , this is a lot. Sorry. You seem to think the government is there to serve you, but really, you are an extension of the government. Whatever you are going to blame the government for, start with yourself because the people in the government are those who took the initiative. If you don't like how they are governing, then run for office. Now, no country on this planet has ever done what you are adamant that Nigeria must do because it is actually impossible. Nigeria has been stagnant because most of you talk bad about Black Americans. Still, a lot of you are waiting for some imaginary savior government to grant all wishes before you take charge of your own life. Every great venture you see in the world today is a product of both the private sector and government; the private sector comprises regular people like you, me, and our companies. Governments can not have wars without the private sector or build a road without the private sector. Instead of sitting on your hands, the better question is not how long the crude producers will take but what you can do to be aggressive in that market and speed up the process. Probably make some good money for yourself. I'm guessing it will take Dangote and the government being aggressive to teach our crude producers how to get their crude ready for the refineries and then have some way they can finance the technical and monetary capital to produce the industry standard crude, from machinery to the people with the know-how. Until the government, Dangote, or some other company with oil interest can invest in the education of our crude producers, it will be a slow crawl; the aggressive people will have their hands tied. IDK if it is there, but a certification where people can learn how to get their crude to industry standard and be certified is a start. This way, they can get loans from banks or other investments to mine and prepare the crude for the refineries.

Why is the government not supplying dangote? There is no way the government can try to regulate his prices when they are not even supplying him. Give him the cheaper Nigerian crude, so he can sell cheaper pms to Nigerians
