It's not easy to express and educate ppl, but whatever I heard in this video it absolutely truth. Definitely skills sets are of prime important. as mam has told in the 2nd entity list where she told abt the requirement of companies regarding civil engineers, one need to have those skills sets and most importantly the where to acquire these sets. My father is contractor... I hv done diploma, than B.tech now doing M.tech Even i m going with him at site..i knw what we learn in book is not directly applied on site... Even university not provie any practical knowledge Even some clg faculty hv only theoretically knowledge... This is big reson behind quality of civil engineer is low, ni skills,no practical knowledge.. On left hand practical knowledge & on right hand theoretically knowledge... Thank you madam for your precious information.... this video would be a turning point of many of distressed unemployed civil engineer brothers and sisters either fresher or not... I'd like to say that our colleges and faculties are not perfectly equipped or eligible to produce or train a Civil Engineer,,, and most of all high mass of civil engineers are producing per year, so it is a tuf competition to get job in this limited field in my perspective, I think the production rate of engineer should be reduced for our better future. And may of the under rated Privet colleges should banned which are not eligible for producing engineers, thank you.

So true bro, I appreciate your comment on the current situation of civil engineering, AICTE should conduct a survey of placements from colleges, and take a employability test for final year students, and ban the civil engineering department from those colleges, then only something CHANGE is going to happen. If not , then parents pay the fee for 4 years degree, and students blindly pass the time of their graduation. Some colleges are doing BUSINESS in the name EDUCATION.

There is big difference between practical knowledge (site work) and theoretical knowledge... So how fresher know about site work, college give us only theoretical and practical (lab test) knowledge, if fresher get a chance to work in a site for 3- 6 months then they are better than others.... college give us knowledge which helps us to implement it on site... Civil engineering is mother of engineering and my definition for civil engineering is " sasta, sundar, tikau structure". I'm thankful to you for giving a chance to fresher... sounds good... 1)I choose by chance civil engg. 2)University syllabus opposite to industrial needs. 3)College faculties only interested in complete syllabus, NO Practicle implimentation, only interested in main exam score ( for college self fame) 4)We have freedom to choose project, but we don't work like real project, we directly copy theory from google & memorise some aspect &complete project.(In diploma) 5)After comleting engg. with highly frustration, we not draw simple design, its absolutely right 6)Yes, I agree with you... 70% faculties has no personal induatrial experience....Clg hired some faculties directly after M.E. WE DID SURVEY PROJECT LIKE ROAD PROJECT, AND IT WAS ONLY HELPFUL FOR 4 STUDENTS WHO JOINED THE JOB IN ROAD CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, REMAINING 50 STUDENTS WERE TOTALLY BLANK WHEN THEY PASSED OUT, YES THEY GOT VERY GOOD % BUT IT WAS USELESS. I was very much passionate about civil engineering from my school life I choose the same field for my career but still Im not satisfied Im working hard still in same field but many of my friends move on. Worked in India and gulf (Qatar) too. There is a problem in my journey in worked in different different departments. I am Front Line Supervisor in civil of L&T CONSTRUCTION..mam i have gain 1 year experience in civil Feild .I have passed HSC VOCATIONAL(10+2) in construction technology...
