Buy Heartsteel for Cho'gath and never be afraid of fighting. In the, like, 20th minute, you will have at least 5000 HP thanks to Heartsteel and your Ult. Also, never forget about buying Warmog, you can heal yourself to the full while you're running from someone, then turn back and they're gonna face a full health Cho'gath, which is terrifying because you're probably gonna have 8000 HP at that point.

Cho gath main here. Wonderful video, you played extremely well for such an outdated champion. Just about perfectly encapsulated cho gath as a champion by echoing using your ult on a minion, fiending for stacks, and stat checking people when you should have lost the fight. Wonderful video.

to be fair its cho gath, the skill of a onestrick shows in matchup knowledge and champ knowledge, both of which are not really all that flashy for cho. I mean its not a champ that has 9000000apm combos like qiyana etc.

In my opnion the best chogath build is ap item first into full tank With ap item your lane will feel better, using Q from afar to do lots of damage, and push the wave faster, but after that , going full tank will make you harder to kill for teamfights while also making so that the opponent has a harder time taking the lead out of you if you get caught out By going riftmaker first , any subsequent tank items you build will still increase your damage , making it feel like youre still scaling well

Yeah, but that 1 single ap item falls off, damage late game with or without it its pratically the same. You'd have to go at least 2 ap items into full tank

The aim is to make a tank build that can still take the advantage with damage in the laning phase , not a ap bruiser Later in the game your job wont be being the main damage, so i feel like having better survivability for more rotations is better in the long run

Great tip tbh. Not to mention that a full cho gath rotation will kill most adc, and assins in one rotation anny way. No matter the item. Just push the opposing damage of your team whit that and let them cook.

Build ap is very good agaisnt hard early matchup. Darius or gwen for example. For the tank build, every health item is a bait. Warmog hearstell (also sunfire) are dogshit on chogath. They provide health but you already have natural health. Waht you need is pure resistance. Against ad i rush Thormail always. Matchups are super easy. Against jungle and top ad, get a second items ad and you ll roll on them. Holow radiance is a very good 2nd items, because you ll push and farm way easier. THEN ADAPT, dont go for health but how to empower your team/counter their team. Buy cheap items and snowball hard. If you succeed to be in good positions in gold. Just snowball them. frozen haert, abyssal, deadman plate, unending despair are great on cho. Other point to not go heartstell. You ll be weak and wont be able to eat that much. You ll go into passiv gameplay and reach max 1-3 champs eaten min 25. Rush thormail you wont have + 300 heatlh for eatstell but you will eat 3-7 champs easy. In late game it s better stats. You could go hearstell for the 'burst' but that s it. You dont want to go hard late game with cho. If you have a lead of cheap items, you can carry the game like that. Also cho is better at being chased than chasing people. That s a very important concept for putting good q

I started playing back in season 3 when cho was a full AP midlaner. Got him on ARAM recently and did full AP, people lost their fucking minds until my Q started 1-shotting everyone on the enemy team lol. Cho is fun if you aren't getting kited.

Cho's real problem is the removal of Everfrost, it was vital for him even when he was full tank, you used it to secure Q way more consistently even vs mobile champions so his initiation potentiual into Flash + Everfrost + Q + silence into the enemy team was lost.

Its not wasted on cho. Omnivamp also includes sunfire/hollow radiance burn and endless despair dmg which is kinda sick since they do ridiculous dmg on chos HP pool

the scaling on riftmaker isnt worth it. Youre better off going any tank item as your damage is very unreliable after 2 items. Getting consistent Q hits on anything above plat is merely impossible. Thats why you see most high elo Chos play grasp with E max and fist fight the enemy.

chogath in lane is amazing, but you guys are really sleeping on jungle chogath hail of blades + approach velocity, blue pet and swifties, and building full tank. take ghost spell. it just turns you into an unstoppable freight train. not only are you simply just running over people during your ganks, you also have a 2500 true damage smite+bite combo ensuring you win every single objective, making stacking your feast much easier.

You know what's the hardest part about playing Cho'Gath? Convincing your team that you're not a tank/frontline/engager Also yes, you can only build tank when the matchup allows for it, like against 15% of toplane champions

you can still go tank against normal toplaners, you just need to accept that you are a shit champ and you would be better off playing skarner or orn. Cho is a useless shit champ these days whos only benefit is a big execute and early dragon secures (which you will never help with becuase youre on the other side of the map). You have a decent lv 1-6 but thats it, after than youre useless.

Nice Video as always. But I personally wouldnt recommend going ap cho If your Team needs front Line. Even with Defensive items after 1-2 ap items, you cant really be a tank. Looked Like there we're some Games were your Team did good, but couldnt get Out their damage due to you having to stand Back as well. Also it seemed Like you werent really using your leads to aid at dragons. But im Not certain about that cause of those short clips

Unfortunately chogath is just really hard to make work in modern league, every1 has 1 trillion mobility and % hp damage, and if chogath cant land q's or get in range for autos or ult hes a walking hp bar that does nothing. His best build is probably the ap 1shot build in most games.

There is a huge skill gap with cho. Understanding how tanky you are and baiting with low life is a real skill. You have a ton of damage. If you land a stun with aa and silence + eat, you can os almost anyone squeashy. How to land q, how to be patient. Super important, people doestn know him well, and everybody thinks you have no damage. Baiting people is the best to do. Use e, wait cooldown, meanwhile land a q and then you ll be able to have your e again. that s super mean gameplay. SIlence is busted. and even loosing lane, you ll be super usefull with your cc. Ap gameplay is good early mid game. You lll lack tankiness in late, cause lvl 16 you ll be huge anyway and ez to oneshot. Full tank you ll be ok early and huge mid and late (super late is meh actualy).
