Ecorobotix- Reducing chemicals by up to 90%

Innovation is paramount in an every changing agriculture market. We had the pleasure of not only interviewing L& L Ag about this piece of equipment but we also got to see it in action.
The @EcorobotixSA implement is a tow behind sprayer. The manufacturer has crafted a new AI technology which allows the software/machine to learn as it goes. The sprayer utilizes 6 HD cameras coupled with 156 spray nozzles. Cody Anderson, L&L Ag's Business Manager, walked us through everything about the machine. They currently can run this sprayer around 4mph and can cover up to a pivot(120 acres) a day. When you are farming large acres of land, timing becomes critical in managing weed pressure to have a great season.
The ecorobotix implement currently is positioned only to spray for weeds but as the technology learns, L&L Ag will be able to spray down nutrition directly on the plants while simultaneously spraying weeds. This not only allows them to cut down on fuel usage on the farm but also will make them more efficient with their time. If sustainability is something farmers care about this is checking all of those boxes.
One of the biggest benefits we see at RegenAg Nation with a device like this is overall plant health. Trey Reid, Lead agronomist at RegenAg Nation, shows the difference in plant health of onions that were broadcast sprayed vs where the Ecorobotix sprayer went through the field and only sprayed the weeds. Now to some watching this video it might not seem like much but if we can keep the plants healthier and growing for 2-3 more weeks out of the year then yields should go up. This equates to more revenue for the producer/farmer at the end of the day.
