I mix my orange marmalade with uncle funky's gel. To me, orange marmalade is a little drying and uncle funky's doesn't give enough hold. Together, they give me exactly what I want.

the trick to marmalade is to apply water in your hands and actually mix it with the water THEN apply...you sorta used a lot so scale back just a bit but if you still use more product then just add more water.

I love this comparison video because I've been trying to decide which one to get! I feel like I should get the orange marmalade because UFD and CRN are two of my favorite gels but the shine and definition you have on the jello shot side is everything 😭 It's safe to say I'm still conflicted lmao might as well get both!

Thanks for this comparison. I have the Orange Marmalade in my fridge haven’t tried it yet but I like that it gave you definition and volume cause it’s hard for me to get volume but still have definition. That Jell-O shot hold is strong how I like it but my hair was sooooo clumped looked a lil stringy I liked it though

My hair is drying from a full Ecoslay washday right now. It took me forever to open the pump on the Rice Pudding. I had to wash off and dry the shaft of the pump and clamp it with a hemostat and twist. I thought I was going to break it! Orange Marmalade worked great for me. Today I am trying the Jello Shot on top of the Rice pudding. I’ve also used OM to refresh on day three or 4 by spraying with water and glazing it over. Worked great! FYI my Sally’s is not very good at keeping their shelves stocked. I had to order the black and white roller clamps. No pretty colors. 😔 They work great though. With the shorter teeth they feel less traumatic taking them out. Thanks for putting me on to them.

Hey girl!!!! I’ve used them and loved them both. I got no flakes with either, however, I did not use a lot. The Orange Marmalade was crispy though. I can’t wait to try it with their new leave in. It will be hear on Monday. I like the JelloShot side on you. It looked shiny and healthy. The other side looked just a little bit hazy to me (perhaps that was the flakes) but it was nice to. I think you just used too much because I use a little bit and it works and I can’t say that about a lot of products. I like separated curls that don’t look piecy. Great comparison.🧡❤️🍓🍊

NJ Eberhart Will do. Oh initially I used half the jar of the Jello Shot the first time around. Curls were poppin but my roots were so stiff. The second time around I wasn’t heavy handed and it was nice. I only got 3 WNGS out of that jar. Had to get another. A little trial and error goes a long way. The definition from this gel is amazing. The Orange Marmalade is one of those easy to apply gels that you have to be careful with. They always end up being crunchy on me. I love them both but no room in the frig.

I have both but haven’t tried either of them. I think I’ll try the OM with next week’s wash day, I’ll only need to leave it in for a couple of days so if it’s too drying or flakes I can deal with for for two days. Hopefully someone will come out with something that works better with it maybe the leave in should be cream based or a hair milk.

@@diamondsandlipgloss All crunch subsides after a few days. But that crunch provides a “cast” and is what helps your hair stay defined for days. If your hair is too soft on day one, it won’t last. You can use oil to scrunch out the crunch, but if you leave it be, it’ll soften on its own.
