Hi there, thanks for getting in touch. The Ecostrad iQ Ceramic does have a mechanical on/off power switch located at the back of the unit. There is also a standby button on the touchscreen interface which can be used to switch the radiator on and navigate between heating modes. We hope this answers your question. Has anyone done a study? Like to know same size room and same temperature setting for like if at home all day the kw used by oil filled radiator, ceramic core radiator and infrared heater, ideally with max power being the same It mainly as hear efficiency is similar, like 100% electric but how they do heat is different so wonder what one is actually better and to know kw used for each, am looking more at oil filled over ceramic at moment

Pity it was only one week after end of 2 year warranty the inbuilt thermostat failed and was unrepairable on one of them I bought. Another, the casing chipped easily. An expensive mistake buying these. And the heat output was pretty poor.

Anyone thinking of buying so you can lock forget it. Tenants quickly learn just switch off and back on again and the locks gone. Happy days 30 degrees in every room and windows open. Utter crap

We won't recommend this product (poor build-in quality)! We installed 5 new heaters just few months ago. 2 stopped working within few weeks!!! We replaced our 30+ years old storage heaters (still worked after all these years ) mainly for energy efficiency. BIG MISTAKE! We have no confidence in this product.

Terrible terrible products… we bought 3 of them and they don’t heatt up the room enough they never go higher than 22 degrees… also can’t even set up for the morning to go on automaticly what a joke
