@@williamegler8771 because it needs a turbocharger just to be able to get the car to go down the road. With the turbo running full-tilt all the time in the city, the oil needs to be changed religiously, and the vehicle needs to be babied in cold climates otherwise oil starvation will cause the turbocharger to fail prematurely.

My 09 Ranger never made it past warranty I had transmission issues fixed under warranty. As soon as I hit 100K the warranty was over the transmission issues came back. So I traded it in I still regret getting rid of it. Cars are just an expensive throw aways nowadays I remember when the cheap throw aways like the Dodge Neon and PT Cruiser were the top throw away cars. And when EV's become mandate in Canada the EV will be an even more expensive throw away like an Iphone.

I have the Opel mokka, wich is the brother of buick encore. I would avoid automatic gear and four wheel drive, bc they are of bad quality. But with stickshift and non turbo port injected 1.6 petrol, like i have, its a pretty good car, and mine has no oil consumption. Mine is 12 years now. Body panels are fine, gaps are fine. However look out for oil cooler leaks after about 10 years/100k. miles. Its a cheap car to maintain. Maybe the Opel has other specs that is better than the Buick, however the body is the same.

The 2.7 Ecoboost is not a bad engine, and between it and the 3.5 it will last longer. Put Schaeffers or Lubrication Engineers full synthetic lubricants in and it will go. The 2017 and up 1.5-2.0 Ecoboost engines have open deck blocks and those pop head gaskets. The problem is the block and not the gasket itself.

Assuming Hyundai's fantastic SOUNDING warranty would not cover the known issues that arise in the Tucson?
@878Docto
@878Docto 3 ай бұрын
When you look at carbon emissions, you have to take everything into account. That means you have to take automobiles all of the oil coal and gas systems that make electric. Certain farming techniques give off at large amount of CO2. If you just take cars out of the equation you’re really not solving the overall issue. You’re just moving the pollution from one area to another area. And those solar panels also take an enormous amount of energy to make requiring fossil fuels. And the batteries made for electric cars taking an enormous amount of fossil fuels to dig out the required elements you need for the battery. Then what do you do with the dead batteries? They are not easily recyclable and probably taking enormous amount of fossil fuels to recycle them so you’re back to square one. Then of course, the rest of the world is not doing this, they are still burning, coal and gas and oil. Sometimes you have to admit you cannot save the world and personally I think the fact that we think we could save the planet is really amazing since the Planet seems to have been doing pretty well on its own for a long time.

The Nissan slander is egregious! Nissans are some of the most reliable vehicles in America and that has been proven by numerous outlets! From consumers Nissans provide some of the most longevity you can get out of a vehicle directly matching Toyota and Honda! The problem is all the KZbin mechanics telling people that Nissan cvts are bad! But when you actually look on the road you see nothing but older Nissans and newer Nissans! Which means they're reliable you can easily get a Nissan over 200,000 mi! Yes Nissan is having a problem selling cars but that's because they cater to the cheaper buyer who's having problems buying cars right now the cheaper buyer! So Nissan sales aren't reflective of them selling bad cars but it's more reflective of the car market being in a horrible place right now! Not to mention banks Not to mention Banks are tightening their purses and not approving loans as much as they were during covid! But the main thing is outlets like JD power and associates consider Nissans A+ rated vehicles, outlets like Car edge who are among one of the most trusted brands when it comes to raiding vehicles also gives Nissans A+ ratings! In terms of reliability also A+! Your friend was smart for buying the Nissan rogue there's many reasons why it's one of the most popular vehicles in America today, and that reliable CVT transmission being one of them! I get you may not like the CVT because it's not a sport transmission but come on man you can't deny the fact that Nissan is a reliable brand! Definitely more reliable than Kia and 100% more reliable than Hyundai! I'm glad your friend decided not to listen to the nonsense on the internet. Your friend probably has someone in their family who has a Nissan or multiple and they're probably above 200,000 mi. That and your friend probably felt real silly with for buying the car before that rogue because somebody probably told them that car would last longer than a Nissan which is why a lot of people have kias and Hyundai's and are pissed right now that they brought them.

Thanks so much for sharing and I appreciate ypur passion for the company and cars. From my experience, Nissan has created great cars and I have personally owned a couple myself in the past. Reliability is mutually explcusive from driving experience and while there are a lot on the road, a large amount of late model units are sold due to price points and competitive incentives. Are they the worst cars? I would own them before Kias and Hyundais, but reliability is hard to beat companies like Mazda, Toyota, and uhm uhm Honda (albeit there is a shift). One of the "experts" you mention actually have a very limited reliability perspective as their experience comes more from sales and my channel is grossly based on ownership experiences, polling owners, mechanical repairs and experience combined with copious amounts of research.

My 05 Magnum R/T is still going strong. Only issues it ever had were the 2 recalls for non powertrain problems. The universal Tata airbag recall and the gas tanks had an issue when they hit 50+ k miles where the plastic at the top would basically stick due to degradation and if you filled up and topped off the engine the engine would shut down. That's it. Come February I'll have owned the car 17 years. Yesterday was its birthday. It was made October 19, 2004 at the now shuttered Brampton Ontario plant. I have no phucking idea where anything in Canada is. Only know you have a pos prime minister. I'll keep my old school engine with 8 cylinders for power not fake turbo. I immediately disable MDS by downshifting so I'm on all 8 cylinders unless I cruise on the highway where I enable MDS and have gotten 23 mpgs. I don't care that I avg 15 mpg's. I bought it for the hemi not a sissy economobile. Phuck gas economy. I want power. My 1973 Charger has 425 hp and gets 8 mpgs on a good day

I think they are making combustion so complicated they are failing on purpose to force everyone into EV's. I have nothing against EV's except them being forced to meet mandates by year. When they can build an EV that can at least have a 340 mile battery and bring the cost of battery replacement to what it costs to replace a combustion engine then I might consider one. I am not buying a 10 year paper weight I will keep my old tried and true models and rebuild them over and over if necessary. To be honest most combustion vehicles made right now will be lucky to make 10 years as well except maybe Toyota, Mazda, or Honda.
