The East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) (Laluan Rel Pantai Timur) is a standard gauge double-track railway link infrastructure project connecting Port Klang on the Straits of Malacca to Kota Bharu in northeast Peninsular Malaysia, connecting the East Coast Economic Region states of Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan to one another, and to the Central Region of the Peninsular's west coast.
ECRL PROJECT Parties Malaysia Rail Link Sdn Bhd (MRLSB) is the project and asset owner of ECRL. MRLSB is a special purpose vehicle (SPV) company wholly owned by the Minister of Finance Incorporated (MOF Inc.).
The railway link infrastructure project would carry both passengers and freight from the West Coast of Peninsular Malaysia to its East Coast and vice versa. Construction began in August 2017.
China Communications Construction Company Ltd. (CCCC) is the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) contractor for ECRL Project.
A national infrastructure that will help link cities & towns, and upgrade public transport in rural areas. Electrified rail network that will link the East Coast states with the Greater Klang Valley

nampaknya jika jajaran ini siap ia akan lengkapkan lagi laluan rel pantai timur baru ,dan tinggal bahagian selangor je nak disiapkan

Wow plenty of slopes, hopefully we have enough cash and manpower to monitor / maintain these earthworks when operational. I believe adequate risks analysis is being carried out by the relevant parties.

Impressive. I thought the SUKE viaduct at Cheras was the most impressive. This one will beat it, (structural engineering wise). Yet to see the section between gombak portal to Gombak terminal, hope it's equally impressive.

Habis habitat haiwan, sampai banyak monyet2, musang2, babi hutan semua terpaksa menceroboh kawasan perumahan Sri Gombak dan Gombak sekarang utk cari makanan.

Indonesia sudah ada kereta cepat ' Whoosh 'dgn kelajuan 350km sejam. Pertama Di Asia Tenggara.

Antara ECRL dgn Whoosh kedua²nya ada kelebihan,Whoosh sesuai dgn penduduk Pulau Jawa jadi boleh mengangkut penumpang yg sangat ramai dalam tempoh sehari,manakala ECRL tidak secepat/selaju Whoosh tapi ok untuk kawasan Pantai Timur Semenanjung Malaysia yg kurang penduduk,hampir semua daerah di jalur/laluan ECRL akan ada stesen ECRL sendiri jadi penduduk luar kota besar tak perlu ke kota besar semata-mata untuk menaiki ECRL.

Whoosh dgn hanya 140+km tak berbaloi sangat cuba kalau panjg lagi barulah wow ECRL ni 665km lagi pnjg dri whoosh

Dah ok dh tu kelajuan 170km jarak 1km ke 665km kelantan ke KL gombak ambil masa 4jam, cepat dah tu, laju sangat pun bahaya sebab perjalan dia jauh, biasa kalau naik kereta 8 jam atau 9 jam

Selain penumpang, fokus ECRL yg utama adalah pergerakan kargo dari pantai barat ke pantai timur dan sebaliknya untuk merancakkan ekonomi kedua2 wilayah

I remember the narrow winding old trunk road, treacherous terrains and very very tiring journey. Those days taxi’s were diesel, vibrating, poor shock absorbers and slow. Drivers had to speed up to fight time. The mountains are not really high but wide range. Mahathir should be grateful China is so stupid to invest into such mega project. Instead he spreads hate, till his last breath. Anyone can see it a non-profitable project, or not high profit.

too early to say its non-profitable. Mega project shouldn't be judge on its own. Spillover effects need to be consider too. New towns, new settlement along the lines, even if each stations could be focal points for local ala what used to happen during America Wild West Era, it could be considered to be positive. Some towns in Peninsular have higher cost of household spending (Gua Musang for ex) due to its location in the middle of nowhere. having the lines could possibly help reduce the problem. If this project allow better connectivity of goods between East and West, or triggered international port opening up in Northern East Coast, it would be good for the Peninsular folks in general. Mass inner migration could be reduced if people have incentive to stay and developed their hometown with better connectivity.

kurang tepat falasi bumi rosak ni.Asal pembangunan je terus = merosak dan menjahanam. dah tahun 2024 ni,kita seharusnya sedar wujudnya elemen kelestarian dalam pembangunan. pembangunan rawang bypass di hutan lipur kanching, walaupun dibina di kawasan spesies endemik pokok kanching,pembangunan yang mampan berjaya dilakukan. Pembinaan eco-viaduct di Lingkaran Tengah Utama (LTU) antara Padang Tengku - Merapoh salah satu bukti lagi integrasi elemen alam sekitar dengan pembangunan. Pembangunan tu perlu - rakyat pantai timur juga dahagakan kemajuan. bayar cukai yang sama,rakyat negara yang sama,bila pembangunan semua bertumpu di pantai barat semenanjung? kalau nak cerita rosak,nadir bumi?lombong emas?pembalakan? itu lagi besar menjahanam dan merosakkan ekosistem dan habitat flora & fauna.

Kalau ikut Kerajaan 22 bulan...alignment sekarang ni dah berubah masuk N9 dan tidak melalui Bentong, Genting Sempah...kununnya nak jaga alam sekitar...mujur jatuh dengan Langkah Sheraton..barulah kekal alignment asal...
