Phoenix Contact’s mini Environmental Case System (ECS) outdoor housings protect sensitive electronics from dust, dirt, and water, as well as other potentially damaging elements commonly found in extreme environments. In this video, we demonstrate how to open this new smaller-size enclosure that enables PCB designers to take advantage of just-the-right-sized protection for their boards and sensitive electronics. The ECS mini enables IP66, IP67, and NEMA 6 ratings with a latch or screw-locking method, so you can connect with complete confidence.

Transcript: - [Narrator] Introducing the ECS Environmental Case System from Phoenix Contact, available in three standard sizes, including the latest ECS Mini variant. Each ECS model has two different latch designs. There is a screw-in latch and a snap-in design. To open the snap-in design and access the PCB, get a small flatheaded screwdriver, and locate the insertion points on either side of the face plate. Press in, pull back, and twist to release the seal. Do that on the other side. The PCB will easily slide out. And to close it back up, it slides back in and snaps shut.--
