Please try out EqualRXN’s Cactus Ceramide Fortifying Milk! It has ectoin, panthenol, ceramide, cica, beta-glucan, and bisabolol. No hyaluronic acid or niacinamide! Milky serum texture, I think most skin types would like. Super calming, protective, and deeply hydrating. It’s been helping me tolerate tret really well. EqualRXN is an amazing small indie brand that comes out with the most thoughtful products and everything is under $30. They also make my favorite toner of all time. Anyway I have become obsessed with ectoin. I first experienced it in the Peach and Lily Retinal serum, which really put me on to how great of a combo ectoin + retinoids are.

I currently use the Transparant Lab ceramide serum. It contains ceramides, cholesterol and fatty acides, ectoin pretty high in the list, hyaluronic acid and madecasosside. The texture is similar to what you described with the Peach & Lili serum and I absolutely love it. I think you'd love it too. I was suprised by it's ability to keep my skin hydrated because I didn't exspect that from such a lightweight serum with hyaluronic acid in it. I guess the ectoin play's a big roll in it. U should try it. It's not a Kbeauty brand but Transparent lab is a small, very affordable spanish brand from Niche Beauty with a couple very beautifull products, incl a glycerine serum that is easily overlooked because of the boring name.😊 Theramid is another beautifull Niche Beauty brand a little bit more expensive but still kind off afordable. Both worthed to check out, imo. 😘 Both are fragrance, alcohol and essential oil FREE btw.

Hi Kelly! Just wanted to let you know the comments on your latest video are turned off. This is a weird new glitch on YT that happened to me last week and several other YT creators lately. I contacted YT right away and they said my video had been categorized as for children and that’s why the comments were turned off. Clearly an error. Unfortunately YT took over 24 hours to fix the problem and I spent an entire day turning the comments back on manually over and over and over. It killed my engagement. Very frustrating. This also happened to Angie Hot and Flashy yesterday, she took the video down until they fixed it (I wish I had thought of that) Angie made a community post on it.

I looked into ectoin after an email from Geek and Gorgeous about their 1% ectoin moisturizer. Since then I’ve tried Sidmool ectoin derma 10% ampoule and (UK and EU only) 7% ectoin creams from E45 and Mustela Stelatopia Intense, both have identical ingredients. Boots also sells the same formula under their dermatitis line. I believe the formula is maid by Bitop AG, Germany. Bitop has a few videos about ectoin in skincare on KZbin

I was so excited by it but it always pilled like crazy on me and I don’t usually have this issue with anything else. I wasn’t able to see the benefit because it couldn’t stay evenly on my face :( I wonder if anyone else had that experience too

Hi Kelly I have been using this ingredient for over a decade - it’s in my daily spf Ultrasun face and has been for many years. It’s also in my Boots eczema therapy that I’ve used for a good couple of years. It has been used in skincare for many years but I am glad it’s having a moment 😂. It’s an excellent ingredient for eczema and super dry/sensitive skin with low allergy potential (anyone can be allergic to anything however). It’s very hydrating and protects the skin. I would love to see it become more widely available as it’s so so so much better than HA at hydrating the skin. It has multiple other benefits and isn’t dependent on humidity in the environment. Recently looking through YesStyle i saw ma:nyo’s Panthetoin line where they describe panthetoin as an ingredient that combines panthenol and ectoin, and was like, wtf is ectoin?? This video came in handy to clear my curiosity!! dhdhdh i’m new to your channel (discovered you through lab muffin channel when michelle mentioned you convinced her to try propolis products hehe) and i’ve been binging it this last few days, maybe this is silly but the “i love you so much” send off at the end of each video warms my heart every time even though we’ve never spoken T__T thank you for the positivity you put out into the world! wishing you the best!

I love ectoin! The only affordable skincare products featuring this ingredients have been a couple of J/K-brands' toners- one from Fancel and the other from Manyo. I wil definitely try the products you mentioning in this video, especially, Bellflower' ectoin serum ❤ I love ceramide, too as my skin is super dry and a bit sensitive😅

I recently got the new Peach & Lily Barrier Repair Cream & serum. Not sure yet if I'll repurchase. When I try new products I either ABSOLUTELY love them, hate them or it's a I'm not sure lol Their not bad but I don't think their worth the price. The cream is really light weight and it does have a oatmeal scent to it. It does go away after several minutes. The serum feels lovely but it dries feeling a little heavy. It's not one of those serums that completely absorbs into your skin. You can feel on your skin. I'd probably repurchase them if they were on sale.

I know ectoin story & how it’s been discovered and I bought product with it and I start using it from last year.. it’s been exactly a year I rebought this same product this month .. a European brand that has very big good percentage of it and other good ingredients that studied to use with vit c for anti-aging and skin barrier . Im happy I’ve a lot of knowledge in skincare even though 29 years old …and I see now what I know & used after years becoming trend … reading and richness in the brain is the key . Reading in the right sources where studies done .

Hi Kelly! Hydration Station gave me those red breakout bumps on my cheekbones (you know the ones), which made me so sad! Several other reviewers of that product said the same thing. I really wanted to like it, because it felt great going on and kept me looking dewy. I do wonder if it was the ectoin, but I'll have to try another product with that ingredient to be sure.

THANK YOU for doing this deep dive! I've been waiting for this! what an all around effective ingredient- reminds me of panthenol in that way! so many lovely options to choose from! I also have to mention that Haruharu wonder's 3% pha serum (its a liquid like a toner LOL) and kaine's green calm aqua cream both contain it and i've been loving both of those products! I also saw papa recipe came out with a 1% ectoin cream- want to try that too!

I love the sound of these ! Thank you so much for sharing all this! And I have tried the hydration station- I LOVE it. It is incredible and really absorbs beautifully into the skin and leaves you feeling hydrated ( I have dry and dehydrated, and sensitive skin so that is saying something!). Kelly, May I ask, is the hydration station thinner/ lighter weight than the rocectin lotus cream?

Hallo kelly maam my eyelids area ist swollen and red and itchy since 2 months. Wenn I stand up in the morning eyelids area is swollen and red. I went to the dermatologist he gave me hydrocortisone N1% and I have used it 2 week. My eyelids area recovered but But after a few days the same happened again then I visited again dermatologist he told me to use this same cortisone N1 %cream for a month. I live in Germany and I think her dermatologist doctors are not good. Plz Please tell me what is the problem with my eyelids which is happening again and again. I used to apply The Ordinary's Multi-Peptide Eye Serum and then use the Normal Eye Cream And suddenly | got this problem. I am very nervous If i apply normal cream or sunblock, it will also cause itching. Please tell me what could be the problem and how can it be fixed and can I use active like niacinimid vit c or retinol on my face or not except my eyelids area . Plz plz plz reply thank you 🙏
