Thank you very much for the video! It's helped me get the DET3 up and running on my supercharged 1UZ-FE. I'm just waiting on getting my wideband O2 sensor installed, then I'll be able to get the fuel tuning sorted out and eventually move to off the MAF sensor to the MAP sensor.

Holy shit. I wish I new this a year ago. I never got it to read the maf and I gave up on it. I ended up doing a 1jz swap and i just got thw det3 up and going.

I dont have any idea, that would be up to the tuning shop. Most shops don't like piggybacks, this system is pretty easy to learn if you have AFR gauge and just go slow.

Base map eku masters are suitable to start the engine on a 440cc and a fully factory engine?I've been looking for engine maps for a full factory motor for a long time now and to no avail. All maps are based on a 330kPa map load and 550cc+ injectors.

just installed det3 on my 7mgte and started it. it idles fine but when throttle is applied it wont rev, runs really rich and just shuts down. also engine light is on code 31. 🤔 i have grounded pin 19 on det3 and everything was running decently before det3 install

Hi. I got the frequency wired to pin 7 and 10. What should I select in the software to get the DET3 read the speedometer correctly? The engine is the 4efte Toyota Starlet Glanza V and the signal coming out the EXU SPD is a variable frequency. I hope that you can help.

Any thoughts on this working well with a 91 MK3 Automatic? I could go standalone, but for my power goals (450-500 whp) it would be overkill and from what I've read, very few standlones work well with the auto tranny.

det3 is good for an auto tranny because the stock ecu controls the tranny and youre free to adjust the fuel and ignition etc

I completed everything and it all works, now on the tuning stage. I try to log a drive and upload it to the fuel table but it changes every cell to -128 except for a few. Is there a setting or something that will fix this?

Once the data log is completed, you need to disable it then convert it. Its a weird thing that ECUMaster requires. Right-click on the log and hit disable, then you should be able to scroll left and right to see the whole log. Only then will it convert properly.

Really good content , just bought a 7mgte supra and I was thinking of buying a DET3 since I already had some experience with it and I liked it. What’s your engine setup ?

Unfortunately I sold the car already after it was all done. It was a modest built 7m. Machined 20 over with CP Pistons, shot peened rods, mahle bearing, arp studs everywhere titan 2mm head gasket, BC cams and valves springs etc. Whole car was gone through.

There are some write ups floating around that are really good. the only thing i can remember not working, was that you needed to unlock/lock the time table for the data logging then that would allow you to scroll around the datalog and then save the file required for MAF to MAP. If i get sometime, i can dig a little deeper. There is another comment that explains this process better. Should be the one right below this comment

Yes and no, if you are referring to MAF to MAP mode, you will need to drive the car for a while with a wide range of driving to Include WOT runs and low rpm high load runs etc to cover all tables, then you need to disable logging to get the whole log then do the conversion...seems complicated but please let me know if you need any help with it and I'll try my best

You need to tune the car correctly, this isn't a guide to tuning but a guide to setup, are you monitoring AFR?

hmm, verify that you karmen vortex sensor is still good and all your connections are proper. did you make sure that your pull up is wired correctly?

hi, I have a supra mk3 7mgte '88, I connected the det3 exactly as you described in the video, the only different thing is that I have not connected to ground pin 19, the car is fine only if I give the gas slowly, if I go in on / off mode there is a power cut, the supra locks, so I am forced to use the accelerator slowly, do you think that if I connect pin 19 to ground I solve? if you want to send me an email I will send you the scheme I used, hello and thanks

Adding pin 19 is the quickest way to find out, it's super easy and requires no additional setup, I would try that first. If that does not solve your issue, it could be a multitude of other issues, tps, afm, ignition timing, etc. Do you have a check engine light on? Vacuum leaks? It could be litteraly anything without additional information.
