It is kind of Toadstool-esque isn't it, with those vibrant round white spots 😂 I'm on a bit if a filming roll now, I still have a pile to edit but since I can be queen of procrastination, I actually find starting again and filming things that need less editing much more enticing now that I've cleared a few from the pile! It may mean a temporary drop in organisation and quality while I get into the swing again 😆 Thankyou for sticking with me 🤗

What a cool haul! I love being introduced to new orchids through your videos. I'm surprised the plants were so dessicated, though. I recently got an Ecuagenera shipment that was downright soggy, though they were only in transit a few days and no harm came to the plants. I hope yours bounce back!

That's a huge haul, more than just in one sense. 😊 The Maxillaria is really interesting. I have one epidendrum, might leave it there though, epidendrum porpax. It was bonus orchid from Röllke-Orchideen. I wish I could order orchid this late in fall, but way too cold. Maybe after Easter, when there's no risk of cold spells here where I live. Happy growing!

Such a great variety!! Even though some aren’t in their best shape... I really like those uncommon and usual orchids. Everyone from my orchid society on facebook just keep posting all the same blooms all the time (bellinas, schilleriana, cattleyas...) and I must admit sometimes it gets boring lol...

You are a bad bad bad bad girl.every time I watch your channel you have this new plant and I want them because you say so much about them so I feel I can grow them.it's like you're already done the research and everything and your method works for me so does the nutrients from Ray barkalow. Equagenera yeah!! They also sell to the United States so I ordered some epidendrums and really nice maxillarias, the prices are good. Anyway my greenhouse is up and I posted it on the semi-hydro website.thank you for making me want to buy some more orchids I just transferred 326 orchids from my guest house...lol. love love love your videos. I will continue to chase my dream orchid the queen of Sheba from Australia. Any ideas?

The Orchid Room not sure... it well could be. Roots were ok but leaves weren’t in good shape. It’s fine being a cutting but for some reason, a lot of their plants don’t travel well. It had huge set back...

I have the teres 😍 and gorgeous fragrance can be confirmed! I love epidendrums that grow with bordeaux colored new growths! I really hope this cutting pulls through! I'm going to hang it on the shower wall 😆 It can get lots of humidity and showers while it thinks about it's life choices (please live!). I just love the epidendrums! The hugomedinae has a really beautiful leaf shape and form that I think is just stunning. They will make wonderful companions to the huge haul you sent me! I regretted making this order after the things that followed and unexpected expenses, but it was too late to cancel and the plants are wonderful. Thankyou for everything 🙂💗

I've been thinking about making an order from ecuagenera (in spring and if we're not in lockdown, our courier services have crashed, after a month in lockdown), but I've been hesitant. They are doong well! A few are in my recent orchid tour if you are interested, the lehmannii has a sheath. Will update soon. Yes I'd recommend ecuagenera based on my experience but not everyone has a good experience, so it seems to be variable depending on the type of orchids ordered!

Oh, Papilionanthe and Rhynchorides had me worried, but the rest of the plants are looking quite good! I LOVE Camaridium scalariforme and Maxillaria reichenheimiana. But honestly I like Epidendrum hugomedinae a lot as well. Dang it, you are going to make me spend more money on orchids 😂

Its funny that the worst came out first right 😂 I wonder if they did that on purpose. Rip the plaster off quickly, them give me nice things so I forget 😆 I definitely think you should get the reichenheimiana! And the scalariforme is such an interesting plant. Like a vanda, but not. Really really cool! Can you possibly do an ecuagenera order through a plant shop in your region? If they have these contacts through the world it must be possible somehow?

The portion that you think of cutting of the Papilionanthe teres you should provide humidity to it because it can actually provide you a keiki!! Here in Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 where im from, a tropical island, a lot of people have terrete vandas like that and people propagate them by cuttings like that!!

Thankyou 🙂 I won't be doing any cutting any time soon, it was a hypothetical statement really. I don't like chopping plants up until there is a real reason, like new roots emerging too far from the medium. All these roots on it seem to be dead, they just brown when wet, but I'll leave them on in case the inner root hairs are functioning even a little! I'll probably keep it in the bathroom for a while so I can give it lots of humidity and shower it regularly, and see what happens! I know cutting propagation are common with papilionanthe and arachnis so I'm sure it'll make new growth soon!

@@TheOrchidRoom providing good humidity in the bathroom is a great idea!! Here in the island, arachnis orchid are really abundant in houses too, because of the easy propagation and rapid growing pattern. The same with Papilionanthe, they grow really fast if you provide full sunshine!! My neighbour gave me 3 Papilionanthe cuttings with only 2 roots or less each, not so much time ago and i really dint cared so much about them so i attached them to a tree and provided water occasionally and when good roots started appearing i stop taking care of the plant and it took of by itself, but this is my case because this is a tropical island but constant rain and humidity.

Not where we live in the south of England, it was very warm up until 2 weeks ago. I've ordered throughout winters before from across Europe with limited issues. If the sellers pack well, there is unlikely to be a problem. And there wasn't in this order either so all fine.

Just a quick thought- it occurred to me that if you're having this concern maybe you are from the UK? If you wait to order until next year, Brexit may prohibit import of plants from most vendors- Defra has already begun implementing changes in import procedures. Just a heads up.

Some bad influence must have encouraged you to place an order. You should stop talking to whoever that was. Was it planned that the first two plants were the worst and the best two were last? did you actually open them in that order did you edit it that way? I mean, if that is the order you opened them, what are they odds that they went from worst to best condition.

I think they put them there to get the bad part over with, so that I finished opening the order on a high, and wanted to repeat purchase. Very clever of them 😅

😂😂😂 I've put it up high on its own shelf. I hope it makes it and shows the other orchids up! The root ball was a knotted mess and I couldn't get all the moss out without destroying the fine delicate roots! I've compromised and saved as many as I could, but left some moss in there. Not ideal but I don't think it will mind short term... hopefully. Hope the election over there is going OK, sounds pretty crazy.
