There is little nuance in this presentation. Most of the songs in Adventist hymnals were not written by Adventists. Should we stop singing them, since they are 'ecumenical'? Besides, many 'ecumenical songs' are Bible songs: Bible quotes turned into song. It seems to me we should especially sing those!
