Outstanding 1911, in my hands the most accurate piece I own. Trigger is perfect and the gun is suited for concealed carry as it is very slim. Price is reasonable considering the quality.

If you can, I’d be interested in a comparison of custom or semi custom 1911s. Wilson, Nighthawk, Les Baer, Ed Brown, etc all in 9mm. Given that some 1911s (including the pricey ones) have reliability issues, I wonder if a “budget” custom 1911 isn’t a better buy than a $4k plus full custom gun. You may have already done something like this so I apologize if you have, I’m new to your channel. Great video though

How strongly do you feel about ambi safety? I like to practice with opposite hand (left) and without it changes my draw and how I disengage safety reflex. Also, not sure if $2k-3k is worth the price, but it appears to be very solid and well built. Apprec your videos much!

Rue ridge yes! Springfield they are only ones who make a 1911 made for 9mm. And it’s funny you question am I anti 2A. In fact I do a lot to support the second amendment. I don’t have to explain that to a keyboard warrior, but I’m buying a 1911 that’s made in the USA 🇺🇸 yeah the owner did some dumb stuff but at least my money stays in America and supports America workers just like it does when I buy all my s&w’s. So don’t give me crap about supporting the 2nd or America when probably more than 1/2 your guns are probably from overseas companies as well as the cars you drive! they are in country’s that don’t allow guns or only allow strict gun laws and the people aren’t free. I buy American 1st, yeah some times US companies do bad stuff, but we can’t hold a grudge for ever!

I don't know about you but I find the Sig 1911s are a good price and I can hit what I'm aiming at. They have match barrels and come in different types. The two I've purchased have been way less than 2000.00 and in 45 ACP instead of 9mm but to each it's own. It may not work for you.

@TheDoonzman the only Taurus I have ever and would ever own is their m85 revolver. Not bad at all. Hp however I don't care for. However even if they didn't exist, quality 1911s would still be inaccessible to most people specially now with so many out of work, you may not like it, but as long as there's people living check to check living in questionable areas and in need of personal protection there's always gonna be a market for budget pistols. That being said, fuck Jimenez/Jennings/bryco or w.e other companies sold that same garbage design.

I have found that if you go to a gun store, preferably one with lots of guns, put as many of them in your hands as you can. Eventually you'll find the ones that fit you. Then determine caliber, frame (polymer or metal) , then size. Sub compact and compact are usually preferred for carry. Then hit the internet and check on pricing. Don't be afraid of used guns. Once you know a good price, check back with the gun store. See what kind of deal you can get. If they can't meet your price, buy on line. I've had considerable success with gunbrokers.com. Good luck.

I've shot star and a dueling tree and I guess that works differently, I also shoot a USP 45 so those target get their punishment. I really appreciate your videos, a lot of my friends look to me for gun knowledge and I send them to you for figuring out what they want.
