Ed Hall was a kick-ass band from Austin, Texas. They broke up, then got back together, and started a different kick-ass band from Austin, Texas called PONG.

I remember when me and Larry came up with this. I sat there all day playing bongos until that point, knowing the Turkish magic would arrive soon. Probably the only time Larry and I had a real conversation, but it led to several other songs, and the Ed Hall "swirly" sound. You are welcome, America.

By 1996, i Had seen Ed Hall twice (Austin Outhouse and WoodShock I) At the Outhouse show, i only remember that, the first 4 songs, i was up front, and moshing as good as i got. Then I decided to go to the back of the bar, found a stool, climbed up, stood there the whole rest of the show, with a beer! Not sure how! :) Dennis 60 years ATX

Fuck. I saw these guys so many times, and they were incredible. I can't believe how few views. I was a high school kid from the suburbs of Austin 1987-1990. I remember watching many times: Ed Hall, Butthole Surfers, El Flaco, Bouffant Jellyfish, Skatenigs, Crust, Loco Gringos, Porcelain Grind, and many great other "psyrock bands". Thanks for the footage!!!!

Chris, that night was a lot of fun. remember how we got there and parked the impala right in front of EMOS and unloaded the gear! Weird also how Wesley Willis was right behind our projectors donating head butts to patrons of Emos. Thank God he didn't wreck the set up! Good to see the old video stillholds up after all the years!

Typical EH. Been there, at a show, when 4 humans attended and managed to get in a fight. Had to come down from the balcony and barf.
