Mr. Mylett, thank you for your share this morning! It was just what I wanted to and needed to hear. My dad drank a lot while I was growing up and got sober when I was in my 20's as well,. I was already married, had a beautiful baby girl and was divorced by the time I was 23. He stopped drinking and showed up for my daughter. He was her strongest father figure and they had an amazing relationship. My relationship changed with him as well, he was more present, more of a dad and we grew an amazing relationship. But he never fulfilled his dreams out of fear! He never accepted his talent, he was an amazing singer / entertainer but out of fear of failure, he remained in middle class. We had a good life, he worked hard, my mom worked with him in his silkscreen business. When he was ready to retire, he sold the business and that was the end of it. He had 3 daughters, none of us wanted the business or had the artistic talent he had so it just ended. I followed in his footsteps non the less. I never pursued or felt worthy of my dreams, I have struggled financially my whole life and accepted living situations our of necessity rather than because it's how I want to live. That stops today!!! I am worthy of my dreams for myself and my family. I am going to be the one that shows up and makes the change I need to make to create the life I want for them and myself. My dad passed away April 1st and I owe it to him and myself to dare to dream and go after those dreams. Thank you once again for all you do for people and Happy Birthday!

I definitely got choked up watching this video you are such an amazing human. I have been watching your videos daily since I found you trying to catch up with every episode I can’t believe it took me this long to come across your work, but I have absolutely no doubt that it was pre-destined to occur at some point and perhaps when I was mature enough to take all the information in and apply it I hope one day we could do something together in the inspirational world to help others. I was abandoned by my mother at three months old and had such a tough road foster care, juvenile hall, group homes, exotic dancing, I found Jesus in my early 20s and my life has forever changed I’m still doing the work today to become better. I have such a beautiful family husband and two children God has blessed me with a business and more. But in my heart I’ve always wanted to write a book I’ve always wanted to go back to those group homes and help little girls. So That hopefully they were seeing me what’s possible for them thank you so much and I will continue to spread your messages and I hope we meet someday. 🙏🏽 @edmylett

I am still sobbing. This is the second time I listened to you because I was told by people that who you are could make a difference in my life NOW. I am 78 years young. Spent over 25 years helping agents at New England Financial (dressed in my football uniform) discover the best in themselves and live it!!! At the age of 2 or 3, I was the little girl standing in the window every morning smiling and waving good morning at all the people passing by on their way to work. I never missed a day. I loved seeing them smile. I will not take too much space but that part of me never changed.....even as a young kid with a father I loved and lost to alcoholism. I held his hand when he took his last breath. I even created a mug that Hazelden sold for 5 years and will bring back in the next week. It changes from a caterpillar in the darkness to a beautiful rainbow butterfly flying free!!! We all already have the best in ourselves. So THANK YOU ED. YOU REALLY GOT TO ME TODAY. And yes, all I ever wanted was to be LOVED, HUGGED AND TOLD I WAS SPECIAL. I still remember the day my mother was going to get rid of my favorite comfortable chair because she wanted to replace it with a new one so my brother would be proud of our home when he brought his friends home from college. I stood on that chair at 9 years old and said, "Don't you know that LOVE is the only thing that matters" I chose love - as a teacher. That was the power that inspired kids to believe in themselves and become their best selves. I chose love as a SPEAKER. Over 4 years ago, I was told I may never be able to wiggle my toes, stand or walk on my own. With the help of God, the fight of my life, a therapist who was the one who truly knew how to bring my body back, I can wiggle my toes, stand and walk on my own and am determined to get back up there as one of the messengers of love and possibility again. I spoke for NAIFA CHICAGO recently. Great reviews for my first time out...on zoom (which was a killer because i could not be in person . So, yes, please be my coach. I am like the blue banana....I learned that the spirit of that banana is like mine. THANK YOU, THANK YOU ED FOR WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU DID FOR THIS SOBBING WOMAN WITH A HUGE HEART.

Good morning Ed! Thank you! Am a recovered alcoholic, I was very resentful towards my Dad because he was also an alcoholic, but I don’t think he ever knew about AA He took me when I was 7 years old to pick lemons and I hated this man. He told me that he did that because how much he loved me! I said yea right! Now, back when I was forced to go to AA I thought it was the worst thing that it had happened to me now 17 years sober I think is one of the best things that has happened to me. Very grateful to be an alcoholic, not for the material things that I have now, because I was able to make amends to my Dad and he knew how much I loved this man that showed me so much! He showed me how important it was to work hard and be honest, He passed knowing that I was sober. I have so much to share!! Thank you Ed!!

First of all HAPPY BIRTHDAY ED!!! Second.... this was your best video YET! This was powerful. This is life changing. I felt like you were talking to me. You don't know me. But you were talking to me. I had recently just finished watching all of your KZbin videos. I started from the beginning. The way you have evolved through the few years that you have been doing this is incredible. I think when you rebranded yourself and what you wanted to do for the world was the best part about you. You are super intense but incredibly loving and loyal and encouraging. This video had me laughing so hard I cried (and snorted) and then I cried hard because you were talking to me. This felt personal to me. This is life changing. Happy belated birthday, Ed 🥰 You are a true inspiration!! That first story was hilarious 😂 When I got into my first fight the first thing my dad asked was "did you win?" I would love to have you share a first time story for the first time story map project. Storytelling is so powerful and I want to leverage that power to help people connect, open-up, and learn about each other. We are the sum of our experiences and everything started with a first time. 90% of first times are universal and part of the human experience. They are an amazing way for people to find common ground while understanding our differences. The divisiveness in the world breaks my heart because we have so much more in common than what separates us. I want the First Time Story Map project to be an agent of change and create the ripples around the world to connect us together. A story from you would make such a massive impact!

@edwinromilly46453 жыл бұрын
The wrong choices can bring us to the right places. The biggest failures often carry the best lessons. When you fail to get what you want, consider that it just might be a blessing in disguise. Seriously, be grateful that certain connections and situations didn’t work out. If you didn’t let go and learn, you would be stuck with false promises. Celebrate your progress. It’s funny how we outgrow what we once thought we couldn’t live without, and then we fall in love with what we didn’t even know we wanted. Eventually you’ll end up where you need to be, doing the right things, alongside the right people. Patience and persistence are the key. But don’t forget to pause on occasion and appreciate how far you’ve come too. You’ve been through a lot, and you’ve grown a lot. Give yourself credit for the steps you’ve taken, so you can step forward again with grace. All details aside, the goal in the year ahead is to grow so strong on the inside that nothing on the outside can affect your inner wellness without your conscious permission. It’s about letting go of fantasies, accepting reality, having faith in your journey, and appreciating all the little things that are within your reach. As you continue to progress forward, do your best to avoid letting anyone or anything clutter your peace of mind. Live a life that moves you and makes you smile every day. Because you don’t want to get to the end, or to tomorrow even, and realize that your life is merely a collection of stressful expectations and “somedays” and errands and receipts and empty promises. Thanks a lot to share your dad's great deeds to serve others quietly. Serving others with good intentions and bravery is worthy of doing. We all need to step out and do right things for our community even the culture and society is not ready yet. Thanks for encouragement and supports. God bless you and our community!

My deepest condolences with your recent pass Mr.Mylett, what a proud moment to realize that maybe your Dad did not start the Race of Life the right way, but finished as a Champion. "I’m the one , I’m the one, I know I am the one." Thank you for believing in me Mr.Mylett

Good morning Ed! Thank you for your generosity in enriching me with your wisdom and words of inspiration. I hope to meet you one day and thank you personally for being a mentor of sorts. I'm sorry to hear about your dad's passing recently, I've listened to the many stories of how your dad transformed himself and that is truly inspiring to change the behavior of oneself as you say. Greetings from Florida and look forward to one day creating a KZbin channel and having you be a guest. Stay blessed and continue to be your authentic self!- Andres
