Still one of the most iconic-slash-romantic scenes, much much more than any typical cringy romance anime w/ over-"cuteness" can ever hope to achieve. Just this 3 minute scene is more genuine and heartfelt than the rest of those garbage anime with many episodes of pseudo romance.

Edward looks so much like his dad in that jacket it’s uncanny. Also his family photo is directly apposed to his father’s family photo. READ THE REPLIES AND FULL COMMENT BEFORE COMMENTING, YOU'RE ALL MAKING THE SAME WRONG POINT. I think FMA is the only anime in which we actually see a character grow throughout the series. I get it's because it's crucial to the story, but still, it's just something we don't see. You all seem to be missing the point here, so let me rephrase. When I say "grow" I mean, physically grow, as in height. Episode to episode you can physically measure Edwards growth against Alphonse when they're standing side by side. The animation team and original Manga artists did such a good job growing hit as a realistic status. FMA you actually see the growth episode to episode, they even have episodes about Ed needing new autoparts because he's grown. Naruto stays the same size for the entire first series and then literally ages 2 years over the span of one episode. Same with Dragon Ball, Hunter X Hunter and Attack on Titan. Most anime's have the character as 5ft one episode and then timeskip a year the next episode and the character is 6ft and looks completely different. And no, FMA is not the first Anime I've watched, as of latest completion I've watch 216 different Animes, however I keep coming back to FMA becaaaaause, it's so good and the animation team care's so much.
