This is honestly my favorite version of Give Me Love because it’s straight to the point. I do love all the effects from the studio recording and live performances, but this cold sing of the song is beautiful. I guess this song gives me stomach cramps in both a good and bad way... It made me remember something that happened to me once... His expression and voice are so melancholy that I could feel the song going through around me. And saying that, no offense, but to be honest... I like the old Ed more. His older songs have a tune and feeling to it unlike the others that he makes now. I still like them of course but his voice has changed over the years. Plus nowadays, about half of the fans(well at least a lot of them) think his only songs are Shape of You, Thinking Out Loud, and Perfect. I'm not saying they are bad, yes, some have a good beat to it but the earlier songs also matter. After some decades, a lot of pop stars will literally get forgotten while people who came earlier like the Beatles will be well remembered. Some people think that they don't know the songs, but hey, you've probably heard the chant we will, we will rock you thump thump rock you thump thump, right? The main point of this is older songs like this one isn't always 'worse' than the newer EDMs whatsoever. It was this one and Hearts Don't Break Around Here which made me almost cry(This and a movie called Stand By Me, plus I rarely cry because of movies and songs), it had more you could connect to, not a surface connection but for some of us who got heartbroken, a deep connection. This is one of the songs that I will listen to at least 5 times a week(well days)...
