So true , he should be allowed to take a leave to attend his grandma funeral
@86sineadw Жыл бұрын
@Aunt of 6 There isn’t a comparison between your grandmothers funeral and a work responsibility. It’s ok to take time away from work for court, but it’s not the same as taking the time away from someone to bereave a loved one with your family. Also the grieving process in Ireland involves a wake, which the deceased is laid out and close friends and family members ‘wake’ their loved one. They spend time and celebrate the life of the deceased, while they are laid out in their home. Then there is a funeral in the next few days. There’s a whole tradition, and the grieving process here in Ireland is said to be extremely healing as it involves closure provided by a traditions such as the wake. Sheeran was robbed of that, so for me, him being always busy with work is not that same as his funeral for his grandmother. It could be life altering that he missed it

Don’t invoke a black man in this white mans mess. Don’t do that. Marvin Gaye deserves credit for his song not bashing and trashing
@Nurturing2 Жыл бұрын
@@JTScott1988 What are you talking about??? Marvin is a LEGEND!!! It is my belief he is in the next dimension supporting Ed. They are BOTH musical geniuses. It is Marvin’s co-writer’s heirs (the Townsend Family) together with a company in which they sold a portion of their rights in 2018 whom filed the lawsuit. I personally believe that Marvin supports Ed’s position that a chord progression cannot be copyrighted. If Ed lost this case, the creative process would be hindered. Chords are a songwriter’s alphabet. It was NEVER my intention to disrespect Marvin Gaye, or the black community’s contributions. I also realize you read my message through your own filter based on your life experiences. If my message triggered any unhealed wounds, then I have great compassion for you!!! We all have pain and I pray we work to heal ourselves. That is our purpose in this lifetime. I will leave you with a quote I saw earlier. “Individually we are one drop. Together, we are an ocean.” ~Ryunosuke Satoro Bottom line, Sir: We are ONE❣️ There is no separation. We’re all in this together!!! Sending you love & light!!! 🙏✨💙 Update: My heart is full. Ed Sheeran shared a hug with Kathryn Townsend Griffin and family after the verdict was read. She and her family assured Ed they believed him❣️ That meant the world to him!!! I believe during the trial she had some type of episode (medical in nature and I’m assuming it was stress related). When she returned to the courtroom Ed embraced her. He was genuinely concerned about her. I’m grateful these beautiful souls are able to heal and move forward. ♥️❤️♥️

Well, if artist weren't forced to pump out 4-5 albums to fulfill their contracts they wouldn't be desperately pillaging older hits for songs. Of course they'll deny it because who wants to pay up or for their fans to know that they plagiarize? At the end of the day, the issue is that mainstream music is no longer about artistry, it's about profit. Which is why these bloated "teams" don't care how the songs are made or who they're stealing from.

I’ve been playing five musical instruments for 40 years, and I promise you I could nitpick things to death and tell you who got what from where!!!
