i love sunburn ever since i heard it in his + deluxe album but to stumble upon this gem, i didn't know i could love it more. this is so beautiful. the gentle plucking of guitar strings and the violin along with the soft singing of Ed with his backing vocals. god, i could write poetry about this and it would not give it justice.

This song nearly killed me, I was dating a girl called Alice just over a year ago and although I've met someone knew and she is adorable and perfect I just can't fall in love due to the memory's between me and Alice. Hey sofia, hope all is well, Its strange really, two years have now gone by and its crazy how such a small thing like that can effect your day to day life. After a little while dont doubt what people say. It will get easier with time. But in reply to your question, no, I haven't got over the emotions I feel. But I guess you never do get over those feelings you had for your first true love. Its strange you say that at this particular time as I have recently been in contact for the first time and recieved back a very long paragraph from her, She used some very meaningful words and ended her paragraph with "One can not recreate the past, once so much is different". Who knows our paths may one day cross again and athough im still in love I would say that it does get easier. My advice from this situation: Dont try and force yourself over things. Stay strong, envolve yourself in life and surround yourself by happy people, but dont let it get too much in the way of your day to day life. Also finally dont socialize with that person. It will honestly only make you feel worse. I also highly recomend after reading this comment you go and watch "swoozie"s video called "Before/During/After Relationship Tips" It defenetly helped me. Then when I asked her to date she acted shocked and neglected me for 3 years, now we are friends again but it's hard since now i'm her go to person when she has relationship problems while i'm still in love with her... Love will always lead to painful situations but hope keeps us alive

George Lewis Todd Thanks for the good advice. You seem to have found a balance with your feelings which is great.I guess you're right about the "it gets easier with time" part. Surely it will at some point. Also, trying to be friends and socializing with him only makes things worse. Maybe the hardest part of getting over him is accepting that we can't be together since it's not lack of interest from his or my side. We both shared the same kind of feelings but his family wouldn't have approved for cultural/religious reasons.
