They don't allow photos/video at concerts in Japan. (Though some people break this rule.) Taka actually allowed people to take video during the encore of the first day at Yoyogi, but it was to prove his point that people get too focused recording that they can't fully enjoy the music. The atmosphere in the venue completely changed and barely anyone was jumping or rocking out. Taka sings very low in this song. It's possible he didn't want to take the spotlight away from Ed. Personally, this is one of my least favorite Ed Sheeran songs. 😅 Still, I'll take this arrangement over the original any day. I hope they give us footage of Ed and the band singing "Wherever you are."

I went to this live! Ed Sheeran came and screamed at the surprise w Ed Sheeran was very happy to come out despite having come to Japan to play on this day privately. Taka talked about an episode that he played with Ed Sheeran for a few days. I'm glad to be friends and friends in private. I am a fan of ONE OK ROCK. Thank you for the reaction video. I'm always looking forward to it from Japan

Strange feelings... I was expecting theyr version of this song in theyr "One OK Rock style", as i think most of you.It's looks like they hold them down not to ruin Ed Sheran cause they simply can upgrade his song on another level musicaly and vocaly both. They simply don't wanna offend him.... Thats how i understand it.

I know Taka was probably trying to be respectful and not overshadow Ed. But damn I wish Ed would have told Taka not to hold back. If I didn’t know what Taka sounds like I wouldn’t have even been able to tell anybody but Ed was singing.
