Edale Skyline | Hiking Challenge | Peak District | Visit Derbyshire | Circular Hikes | Walking

22.6 miles around the Edale Skyline. This is such a gorgeous route on a day like I had, you get views in every direction. I would recommend parking close to Mam tor and heading across the great ridge first as this gets most of the incline out of the way pretty early on and once you're on the Ridgeline you can enjoy the views and take it all in.
Although I set myself a challenge to run this, I really enjoy this as a walk. I don't run and can't run but sometimes I have these impulsive thoughts that I have to do silly things, so that's why this happened, but as a walk it is glorious.
Parts of the walk do get quite busy, especially the Mam Tor to Losehill section but past Win Hill you feel as if you've got the ridge to yourself.

I was in Edale 4 weeks ago & got mobility issues so went up Jacob's Ladder to Kinder Low Trig Point down to Hayfield - My legs hurt but being there matters to me enormously. Nice Circular route you did of Edale Skyline & that part of Hope Valley - I've got to do Win Hill Edge still. I fragment the route due to my health. I enjoy your stuff x

Sounded a real blustery day but wow 26 miles, that's real good going too much for an old man like me! Not surprised your leg was aching a bit but superb scenery and wind apart, great weather to do it in as well. Ten minutes over is still a massive achievement to me that was a superhuman effort!
