I think that Cass is being possessed by Zhan Tiri or Mother Gothel because I think one of the pupil's who betrayed Demanitus looks very much like Mother Gothel. That's the only thing I can think why Cass would betray Rapunzel because she's possessed, from whatever happened to her in that room.

This show just have changed from harmonious adventure musical to thrilling thriller and I actually love it haha.I really like the way how cassandra transforms into dark character. If you remember, it started from the episode rapunzel and the great tree when cass was threated badly by rapunzel. We could see her reflection during the song waiting in the wings. Equally important was rapunzel s words which was spoken after the quarell to eugene: ,, after we left corona, she s been different,,.I dont have to mention about her hand obviously. And you know cass wasnt threated better after that episode by others. Thats why she is evil right now. This is my theory.😄

i really don't want it to be cass and even if it is her they're going to get her back to the good side like going to reform her i mean, something must of happen to her to want to make her betrayed Rapunzel like this unless she was faking this whole time being raps best friend which i highly doubt that because they can not fake that emotions like this like in the episode Freebird when cass thought that Rapunzel was a bird forever and when she said "raps your my best friend,please don't leave me" or the moments in Rapunzel: Day One , i just don't understand why cass would do this that's my question WHY,WHY,WHY,WHY!!! like why have this character become best friends with Rapunzel if they're just going to have her become evil. just why? the thing i'm really worried about is if they're going to get her back to good, i just love the friendship between rapunzel and cass so much just don't want it to come to an end, that's why i'm upset about this, and yes next Sunday IS the season 2 finale

The next episode is the finale of season 2 and I think the hint at Cassandra is a red herring. Everyone is saying it is Cassandra but no one remembers Eugene doesn’t like Cassandra and Cassandra doesn’t like Eugene but they both accept each other because of Rapunzel. They made that obvious in season 1 which is why I’m leaning towards the betrayer will be Rapunzel herself. There was a clue in the episode before this one that put Cassandra and Rapunzel as the betrayer. But I think it is Rapunzel who has been asking if Cassandra hand is okay. Several times. The last episode Rapunzel asked once and let it go and not getting annoyed at Cassandra aditude. And no one ever considers the leader to be a team member but they are and that means Rapunzel is just as much as a target for being a betrayer as everyone else. But the scene at the Great tree where Cassandra changed outfits is the only issue

I guess a lot of people have forgotten how to read inbetween. The word that the key is the word "party" a Party is the WHole group. that means Eugene, Shorty, Lance, Pascal, Max, philda, Cassandra and Rapunzel is a group or a Party, it is written like this: " At the end of Rapunzel's journey, one of her "party" shall turn against her. this automatically put Rapunzel in the group.but if it was written like this: At the end of Rapunzel's journey, one of her "friends" shall betray her. that would put Rapunzel out of the group.they are hinting at Rapunzel be a possible choice
