This makes me miss my black friends I grew up with in my neighborhood. We all laughed at each other and loved each other to death. Most people, unfortunately, don’t get to experience what I did and let the media tell them what black people are “like”. All my black friends had lawyers, sheriff’s or business owners as their parents that couldn’t have been more accommodating and treated me like their own. We had “sleep overs” just like any other kids and I always saw them as the loving people they are. White parents gave you fruit roll ups and told you to go outside...my friend Rashard’s grandma cooked your ass chicken, rice, and Mac cheese lol. People are different...we just don’t get a chance to understand them sometimes. Here’s to laughing at our differences

Eddie got me one night. I was working security at the Riverside Theater in Milwaukee, WI in the late 90's. I was stationed back stage and his manager asked me to deliver a note out to him in a few minutes. I got my signal to go out and of course he said it was about time he had a white man working for him. I have a sense of humor so all I could do was laugh and take a small bow like yes sir! Funny guy. I was happy to be a small part of it.
