When I was a kid in the early 2000's I saw Eddie at a Carl's Jr in Fresno Ca. The WWE was in town for a show and he was just trying to get some lunch when a huge crowd formed. He was kind and gracious with everyone taking time to sign autographs and take pictures. I had always admired him as a wrestler but that day I became a lifelong fan, RIP Eddie.

2001 interview 🫡
@carloslimon10123 ай бұрын
My favorite shoot interview. A lot of them consist of old timers screaming and being bitter towards others in the business for 2+ hours. However, Eddie doesn’t do that here. Instead, he takes accountability for his actions inside and outside the ring. Even though he voices some of his frustrations over certain things, he doesn’t harp on it too much. When talking about being called a “vanilla midget”, he acknowledges that some of that was true (even though he had a charisma just look at his run w/ Art Barr for example and wasn’t really given a fair shot in WCW). Also, he’s very gracious over the things that have happened to him. He enjoys telling his stories and comes across as a genuine person throughout the interview. RIP Eddie 🇲🇽🇺🇸

Am I the only one who loved Eddie in WCW? He was vanilla as a face, but I loved him as a greasy haired heel. I don't know why everyone says he didn't get a fair shake there. He didn't win the World Heavyweight Title, but back then _everyone_ wasn't basically entitled to at least one world championship like today. Well, Russo era aside. Regardless of all that, I was there for his entire run, and I thought it was awesome as it was happening. I don't get the dissatisfaction over the fact that it wasn't, y'know, totally perfect. It was still awesome.

He speaks of Vickie as soon to be his ex wife. This was when Vickie got fed up with his drinking and drug abuse, and asked for a divorce. But then Eddie kicked out all of his addictions, got sober and then got back with Vickie. He remained sober till his death. So much respect for him. I love you, Eddie! RIP!

Watching this, you can see just why everybody who knew him, loved him. Real chill and down to earth guy, fun to talk with. Obviously he's probably even better than what we see here, as it's not a "personal" relationship, but man just from these almost 2 hours alone you can see how special he was. Absolute legend. Gone WAY TOO EARLY. Should still be around now in some capacity, RIP.

Wrestlemania 20 which was one of the best events in wwe history. Had the best moment in WWE history aswell when eddie walked to the ring to hug Benoit. Right after Benoit Won the World Heavyweight in the triple threat match against Triple H & Shawn Michael's. Right at the center of the ring with confetti falling. That's when Benoit brought his kids into the ring. Anyway that's a moment for those of us who experienced it at the moment. As younger kids will probably never know about it

Eddie Guerrero is 1 of the most Humane and down to Earth Pro. Wrestlers I've gotten to known. He really became a shining example of Randy Savage's iconic "the Cream always rises to the top" line. His sincerity and charisma are 2 things I highly respect about Eddie, and I know his Legacy will outlive a lot of us. "A man dies when he is forgotten" - Dr. Hiriluk

Watching him here and on TV is like two different people. I get that he was playing a character, but he sounds so timid and a little shy here. To be able to flip a switch and become a hated wrestling persona is a talent that doesn't come around too often. Add that on top of all the stories of Eddie being selfless and doing so much for other people, it's a shame he got taken away so soon.
