Eddie doesn't take things that seriously. Strong man was best suited for him since all he had to do was eat and just move a bunch of weights around. We saw with the Thor fight he just does what he wants and likes to surround himself with yes men. He doesn't have the discipline, patience or humility to excel at anything else that requires these traits. I mean he put on 6 kg of fat in a week by going off his carnivore diet like a light switch and doing a 180 instead of doing it gradually. Imagine how much that messed up his body 😂 He has no chance, Brian being a nice guy and a good mate will let him have a couple of rounds to make it look like it was close to avoid humiliating him but that's about it. Eddie is just a KZbinr now, he's no longer an athlete.

On camera this is the lowest I seen Eddie mentally. When he competes he has fire, eager, and always smiles. In here it is gone and it seems so sad to see. In combat sports you can tell if a fight is over from the look of the enemy. Mike tyson id a good example of this, look at him at his prime and you can see the way he looks at his opponent. Compare that to paul fight and you can tell right before the fight he lost, he doesn't start right on the opponent.

And my point wasn't aimed at the professional side of the two, it was more aimed at how they appeared around the ribbing and jostling between Devon and Neil. Strongman hasn't prepared either of them for the 'trash' talk side of it, so its understandable they feel uncomfortable for that reason. It being their first professional match i think weighs less on Eddie, hes out to try and stop Brian for laughs really, he said it himself in the interview with Ray. Brian is more seriously invested at the moment, so pressure is on him.
