He hasn't had enough development fights, and the possibility of Eubank/Benn has stalled any momentum he had at 147. The potential money that MR can generate with Eubank/Benn will continue to negatively affect a lot of things. At this point, Benn would be a sacrificial lamb to Ennis. I think Benn/Ennis in the U.S. only happens if MR is looking to cash out Benn, and if they can build Ennis into an attraction before then. Benn will do his part in selling the fight, but he doesn't have a big enough profile in America.....so Ennis' marquee value will have to be cultivated before Benn can get paid what he'll want to fight in Ennis' backyard. It's a balancing act.

Until there is an outcome with the case Eddie won't do a Benn fight because the British board have already threatened to punish everyone involved in the fight who hold a British Boxing license. I watched another Hearn interview where he said Pacheco vs. Sadjo/Bazinyan fell through. Now I know why: Bazinyan decided to face Munguia next. I can't blame Bazinyan, because Munguia has a bigger stock now that he fought Canelo.
