Glad to get the background on this film. Watched it yesterday. Moments of greatness with images and themes, yet a bit uneven overall.

Joan Bennett is terrific in novel "The Blank Wall" adaptation "The Reckless Moment" as the mother of a teenager who gets into blackmail trouble. James Mason is the blackmailer. I wonder if Noir Alley ever presented it ? Yes, they did!

Always a fan of Joan Bennett, I found this very interesting. She really had her highs and lows over a long film career. Woman on the Beach is one of hers I would not mind seeing again. As opposed to Secret Beyond the Door, which falls flat on its face and deserves only one viewing.
