Most Folks have slept on this movie. To me this is one of Eddie's best performances. That crossing the highway scene is one of the funniest scenes I've ever seen.

@@kaipovilla1343 bowfinger was a masterpiece. Eddie Murphy was incredible Steve Martin was incredible, the plot was unique and an insane premise was somehow pulled off. So underrated

Bowfinger is one of the most hilarious movies I have ever seen. I have no idea why it's not famous except that it may be professional jealousy. Like Tropical Thunder, which was also written by the comedian who starred in it- it didn't get the acclaim it deserved. I guess someone in Hollywood does not like when comedians write their own material making fun of Hollywood.
