I love this movie and it's one of my favorites with Eddie Murphy but it definitely doesn't top the Nutty Professor movies,Dr. Dolittle or really just anything he did before this movie.

I agree this film is sorely underrated. But I'm surprised you talked about this movie without once mentioning the funniest scene in the entire movie: The freeway scene! "I don't wanna do this anymore. Oh, heavenly God, heavenly God!" 🤣

One of the few movies I saw in the theater and stayed to see it twice because I laughed so hard. Also, Steve Martin's Mixed Nuts is a Christmas movie I've shared with so many people who've never heard of it.

"I spy" with eddie and owen wilson is very underrated.

A person on KZbin who does videos about visiting celebrity gravesites and the like knew Anne Hesch when she was dating Ellen. It turns out Anne once dated Steve Martin. Steve Martin based the character Heather Graham played in Bowfinger on Anne. If you watch the movie, that makes perfect sense.

Lets not forget about Dreamgirls, and Norbit. Norbit was a silly popcorn comedy, but Dreamgirls was an amazing performance for Eddie Murphy. I know you posted this video about 7 years ago. So I guess Dolemite Is My Name wont count. :(
