Cannot be unheard...this is not a song..it's beyond that! it moves me like no other song...questions the meaning of life....when i close my eyes and listen to it, a slideshow of my past, present (and a possible future) just comes in front me. The ups and downs of my life...the tune makes me really feel every second of it. Growing up listening to Hard Rock and Heavy Metal, i cannot believe this one sits on top of everything. The ending with the harmonium and fading Rahat's voice....brings tear to my eyes

"Long Road" And I wished for so long. Cannot stay. All the precious moments. Cannot stay. It's not like wings have fallen. Cannot stay. But still something's missing. I cannot say, yeah. Holding hands are daughters and sons. And their faiths are falling down, down, down, down. I have wished for so long. How I wish for you today. Will I walk the long road? (the long road) Cannot stay. (the long road) There's no need to say goodbye. (to say goodbye) All the friends and family. All the memories going round, round, round, round. I have wished for so long. How I wish for you today. And the wind keeps roaring. And the sky keeps turning grey. And the sun is set. The sun will rise another day. I... I have wished for so long. How I wish for you today. I have wished for so long. How I wish for you today. Will I walk the long road? We all walk the long road. Will I walk the long road? We all walk the long road. Will I walk the long road? Will I walk the long road? @agioni993 жыл бұрын
This song instantly takes me back 35 years ago or so. I remember being a young child and asking my blessed mother, "Why does Nusrat cry...weep as he sings?" I remember her answer, but I dont think I ever understood..felt what my mother said until this very moment, all these decades later. “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.” - Albert Einstein.

Amzaing! This always moves me to pieces. It's a Long Road to Forgiveness which is the ultimate theme of "Dead Man Walking", in my opinion., I love how Eddie Vedder's beautiful voice from modern musical culture of America and the West, brilliantly juxtaposes the sounds of the East, suggesting one day West shall meet East in a spiritual context, perhaps, perhaps, perhaps. And we will return to the Light, and find Forgiveness! Just a suggestion on my Friday night rave! xx xx
