1:26:20 - No, Miles didn't want to harm Park there. He actually helped him pushing the jeap and that gate behind him so he could leave as fast as he can. That would make no sense if it was otherwise. He had a chance to kill him at the exit right after that corpo guy but he didn't.

Yes I agree that Miles didn't want to hurt Waylon and also Billy was still inside him and he was trying to prevent him from killing Park at the end since Billy sometimes doesn't think twice about killing someone good or bad .

exactly, if youre into outlast lore, then you will know that Miles thanks to Walrider survived outlast 1 events, and he has Walrider under his control. Miles not only survived and was healed by Walrider but also saved Waylon again by using Walrider. Walrider was evil when he used to be controlled by Billiy because Billy was messed up, but Miles Walrider is only used for good

I caught this on my second playthrough, really cool detail.

So for those who need an explanation how the two stories interlink with eachother, here a small statement: Waylon Park (our software programmer) sent an email to Miles (our journalist) at the very beginning of this DLC. After Waylon was knocked out by guards and tied to the chair to watch the morphegenic engine screen, Miles received the email Waylon sent him. Walyon escaped from the tied chair and tried to find his way put of the asylum. That's when you see that the asylum is already out of control and the Walrider (a.k.a Billy) has already escaped from the underground science lab. When Waylon passes by the foggy courtyard and sees one of the the naked twins as well is close to getting to the radio room, that's the point when Miles arrives at the asylum. When Waylon came across Eddie Gluskin (the terrifying guy who tried to saw Waylon in half) and was gassed by him in that locker and got unconscious for 12 hours. After Waylon escapes and kills Eddie and is near to getting out of the asylum, a couple of things have already happened. Father Marton (the priest guy) burned himself on a cross as you can see the chapel in the distance was on fire. Richard Trager (the crazy doctor who cut off Miles fingers) was pulled off from the elevator after he got crushed by it. Chris Walker (the muscular guy who kept chasing Miles around and Walyon at one point) was already dead as he was killed by the Walrider. By the time Waylon reaches the exit where Jeremy Blaire (the guy who stabbed you) was lying down, Miles has already killed Billy and was shot by the soilders in the underground science facility (as you can hear through one of the soilder's walkie talkie calling for backup and paremadics). However it turns out Miles was alive and became the Walrider. It is because as we've read through all the documents, the Walrider repairs damage cells in the body and can only be controlled by a host who has experienced both physical and mental trauma (which Miles did suffer throughout his time in the asylum). Just as Jeremy was about to kill Waylon, Miles (as the Walrider) comes and kills Jeremy. Also when Waylon got in Mile's jeep and saw the Walrider, that was indeed Miles. He wasn't trying to kill Waylon, he pushed the jeep against the gates (as the gates were locked by the soilders) so that Waylon could escape and expose the dark secrets of Murkoff with all the evidence in his camera and documents. *I hope this helps to those who didn't understand how the stories interlinked with each other.*

I'm pretty sure Miles actually helped you get out by spinning the jeep around quicker and forcing the gates open. I also read that after the events of the DLC Park took his kids and wife and burned his house down. A murkoff official later tried to kill Park again but the Walrider aka Miles saves him by killing the Murkoff guy again.

Outlast 2 isn't that scary compared to this DLC and the first game (in my opinion), even the story is far more interesting with all the Mount Massive documents, patients and workers (who turned as crazy as the patients), the Walrider, etc. It's just so genuine and perfectly done, aside that the entire environment of Outlast and Outlast Whistleblower is far creepier, it gives you a feeling of claustrophobia, like you'll never find a way out with all those closed hallways and rooms full of lunatics. I love both games with my whole heart but the first game and its DLC are creepier and better done in any sense possible. Anyways, everybody got their own opinion and I respect that, i just gave mine so don't take it too personal, right?

Awesome work Marz. I started watching your channel when you started Dark Souls. If I may make a suggestion to you. You say you love story driven games, and the best story game I've ever played is Metal Gear. The series has an incredible story starting in the 80's on NES. There are 10 games to get the whole main story, [Metal Gear 3 on PS3 has the NES games included with it.] the rest are spin off's. If you choose to play these great games, I suggest release date play. But if you want the story mainly then play them chronologically. REALLY hope you see this and play some of Metal Gear. Keep up the great work and give my love to Luca

Hey Marz, if you keep getting the blocky/blurry/low quality 1080p KZbin videos and it's bothering you, you can force it to upload in the higher quality vp09 codec by rendering the video in your editing program to 1440p instead of 1080p. It takes a bit more time to render and upload, along with a larger file size but then the final result on KZbin looks a lot less compressed and more like the original video :) That's what I do for my channel because I'm a smaller channel. Still, I'm not sure why your videos use the avc1 codec because usually for bigger channels it just uses the better one. Oh well best of luck!

also you can tell whether your video has the avc1 codec (inferior/heavily compressed) or the vp09 codec by right clicking on the video screen and clicking 'stats for nerds' and by the codec section it'll say which one it is. Sorry if you already know this I just noticed a few of your vids recently have the avc1 codec and if you wanted a way to change it then here it is. (Y)

Oh the memories of almost shitting my pants trying to get through this game. I'm not sure if you've played Outlast 2 yet but its much better. With the first one and subsequent dlc I just got kinds numb to the atmosphere and scares halfway through the game. But the second one kept me scared shitless all the way through.

There is also an achievement called BOWELWHISTLER if you beat the DLC on Insane difficulty. And thankfully there is a good ending for Waylon and his family. After Waylon escaped from Mount Massive Asylum, Murkoff tried to find him and his family of course, but they were not successful. Waylond and his family no live in an unknown place and have a happy life there.
