I love this. My dad (83yo) and myself (50) compete together. Best thing ever. ❤

That is awesome! In the next tournament video we post, we compete against a mother-daughter team. I absolutely love seeing that type of thing! One of the many reasons why pickleball is such an amazing sport! -Webby

A few observations (in list format 😂): 1. Nice intro to the video Addy! (I shot slurpee out of my nose, very odd sensation) 2. Awesome of Dad not to poach and not stack too much - better for Addy's development to be comfortable playing both sides 3. Congrats on the wins, looked like some really tough teams for 3.5 level 4. I also enjoy playing with my daughter (12 y/o, nickname: lil' smash 3.8-4.2 but regularly beats 3.5 to 4.0 men with dad 😅) 5. Almost nothing tops the feeling of winning at Daddy-Daughter pickleball! (even better when mom and her 4 older brothers roll their eyes)

So neat you can play with your daughter! More time on the court and playing a lot of rec together should help. Addy has a good attitude and demeanor on the court. Don’t stop .

So... I mean this in the most positive, constructive, and uplifting way possible. I'm not a sugarcoating personality-type so when I speak, it's how I feel--straight up. Addy's singles game needs a LOT of work. She was doing way more things wrong than she was doing right in those games (of her recent tournament you posted). HOWEVER. Watching her here in DOUBLES? WHOA. I basically can't see one foundational and critical thing that she's doing wrong, and I'm blown away. The transformation between singles Addy to doubles Addy is night and day. She is RACING to the NVZ after she returns a serve - A+++++ (VERY critical to do and I see players that have played for YEARS that still aren't doing this) She is keeping her eye on the ball, even if it's going well over to your side of the court - A+ She is BACKING UP when the balls goes high to the opponent - A+ She is staying with you on the court and watching your positioning and basing her positioning off of you - A+ She is ready at the NVZ with her backhand loaded and paddle UP, ready to fight! - A+ She is bent at the waist and in an athletic stance at the NVZ, intently following the ball even if it's not coming to her - A+ Last but not least, because I have to get going to pickleball this morning... A skill that she is displaying that blows me away to see... She is 😱SPLIT STEPPING😱 in the TRANSITION AREA of the court when the 3rd shot, 5th shot, 7th shot aren't great and could be attacked - A++++ (I have 4.0+ buddies that still don't do this as well as Addy did in this video. Only thing I can say is... I'm wildly impressed. Addy's got a bright future in pickleball if she wants it and keeps going like she's going.

Nice work! Really good to see this father/daughter team. A couple of suggestions that will improve your game quickly: hit to the opponents' backhand (almost all of your shots went to the opponents stronger forehand), get to the kitchen quicker and only retreat when actually necessary and Addy assume a more athletic stance (toes, ankles, knees and waist bent...ready to attack and defend on every hit. Looks like y'all had fun while improving with each tournament.WTG!

Thanks, Bill! Now that we are going to start doing tournaments together somewhat regularly, we plan on drilling together and maybe getting some help from pickleball instructors. Hopefully, we'll see more improvement with each future tournament! 😃

I like it a lot! It has been the paddle I've used most frequently for the past year. -Webby

I think your daughter will play better if she loosen her grip more. I think the tight grip is causing more pop. You can compare your grip pressure vs her and experiment a bit.

No, everything looks easier from the sidelines. You would lose at this level.
